Good morning all!

CJ's party went well. No one puked up cake and hotdogs on the trampoline, so I consider that a success!

Kat's tournament was a roller coaster of bad and good. They got demolished in their first two games. Then, on the third game, they were doing really REALLY good. They were up 7-0 when it started raining...then pouring...then straight up thunder storming. They called off the games because it got so bad. The lightning was hitting close enough to hear the thunder almost immediately after the strike. We couldnt leave because it was raining so hard and I had my telecom battery there to run the fan. Once it started to let up a little bit, we got all the chairs packed, I broke down the popup canopy, stacked everything in the wagon, and walked the short distance to the van. Every got completely soaked. I didnt bother loading the van properly. I just lifted the entire 200 pounds worth of loaded wagon into the van and told Kat to hold on to it while we drove home. BUT, as far as I know, that last game was scored as their first win of the season!

Yesterday morning was kind of a lazy start. Once I actually got moving, I unloaded the van and set everything up on the back porch to dry out. Ate a small early lunch, then dozed on and off on the couch until about 1. When went outside to put everything back away, it really sank in how filthy the van was. So I made Melanie and CJ get all of the trash out, and I spent the next two hours vacuuming it out. It was only 97 degrees. In a black van. No breeze. By the time I finished, I was drenched and had to take a second shower. I was mad too. One of the rules I set when we got the new van was nothing but water was to be consumed in the van. I found chips, popcorn, biscuit crumbs, onion rings, french fries, a juice stain, and other unidentifiable detritus all over the floor and in the seats. The seats and dash still need to be wiped down and cleaned, but the carpets are unrecognizable.

After my shower, we went to my brother's new house for a house warming party. I ate WAY too much. BBQ. Smoked chicken. Mexican pulled pork. Low country boil (crawdads/crawfish/crayfish/mudbugs, corn, taters, sausage). dessert was a rice crispy treat bowl that had been coated with melted chocolate and filled with a peanut butter dip. We all had a good time. Plenty of food. Plenty of adult beverages. Even my wife had a whole glass of wine. One of my brother's friends brought a crossbow over. Everyone had a shot or two with it. Even Kat. Of course, Kat was the only one who completely missed the target and lost the bolt. Mrs "I shoot bow and arrow! I want a cross bow for Christmas!" was the only one who totally missed... But still. We all had a good time.

And now that my weekly novel is done, it's time to get some work accomplished. It's gonna be a big delivery day... I am NOT looking forward to it. Yay Monday!!! :glare:

Four hours and no posts...?

You's guys must be either busy, sleeping, or just generally having a life!

I was at work.

Just got home from work. The shop is hotter than hill. I had two dogs to groom today and the other groomer had two. Her mom called and woke her up at 10 and tell her that her dogs were waiting on here to get there. She said she would be there shortly. She never did show up. I did one of her dogs and the owner did the other one. One of her dogs was actually scheduled for Saturday and thought it was for today. I told the owner I just couldn't do another dog. It was a massive chow. Nope, don't want it, not gonna do it. I cover the other groomers dogs at least one day a week. Anywho, I'm home and trying to cool off. Hubby stopped by Lowe's on his way home and bought some shelves to go in the office. We decided we want to line the whole office with shelves all the way around the room. It will really help with storage and clutter in there.

Tonight is weigh in night. I didn't lose squat last week, 4/10ths of a pound so hoping for a good loss this week. It should go good as long as I didn't have 60 points worth of peanut butter and chocolate syrup in the middle of the night.

Hubby and the kids are eating pizza for dinner. I think I'm going for a salad. Tomorrow I'm sticking a beef roast in the crock pot. That's about as exciting as things are right now. Hope Monday is treating everyone well.

Hopefully you will sleep better tonight, Barmz. I'm klutzy and spacey on a normal day for me. More klutz than anything.

Weigh in tonight went good. Lost another 2.6 pounds. I'm almost embarrassed to say what I've lost so far. I'm at 70 pounds lost and I'm almost to goal. I've been very disciplined with myself on this. I tend to yoyo and give up before I get this far. Not this time. I'm determined this will work.

I'm going to be in and out all day tomorrow. I have a doctor appointment at 9 in the morning and then another doctor appointment at 3.

It's about time to make myself some dinner. A yummy salad with garbanzo beans and honey mustard dressing and a strawberry smoothie.

Good morning folks.

I think a lack of sleep affected Kat at practice last night. It was almost embarrassing watching her try to play. We got home at about 10:30 and it was after 11:00 by the time I got the kids showered and in bed. It was about midnight by the time I got to bed. Even that late, Mrs E still hadnt made it home from work yet.

It's looking like today is going to be another scorcher. Temps are going to be tickling 100 again, and heat index will be around 103-105. Needless to say, I'm driving the car today to take full advantage of the a/c. It may be a hunk of carp. It may have over 230k miles on it. It may be in desperate need of an oil change and tune up. But it averages almost 30mpg and the a/c will fog your glasses.

There's another good chance of storms tonight with a "cold" front coming through late this afternoon. It's expected to drop the temps in to the low 90's. :glare: "Cold" front my large backside... But, it should be cool enough to be able to get back on the bike later this week.

Kat's coach does hitting lessons... I think we're going to see if she can instruct both Kat and Melanie. When I talked to her about it last night, she said she would be able to do two 30 minute sessions per week for $10 per session. So we'll break that down into one session per kid. She has some bad habits to fix with Kat, and I'm hoping she can get Melanie's swing right before she's old enough to develop the bad habits. I'm running into the problem of "Daddy is a guy. Guys dont play softball. Dad doesnt know what he's talking about". Ungh. I think Kat has already forgotten that I did coach her for several years and I was the one who spent the hours teaching her the basics and proper mechanics of the game. Darned kids.

Anywho.... Yes, Tiff, I think it IS nap time. Youve done great on your weight loss! I can't say the same. I gained almost five pounds over the weekend. Between CJ's party, eating the leftovers from CJ's party, then my brother's party... Let's just say I'm back on it today. And today starts a new workout regiment at the gym. Now that I've hit my primary weight loss goal, it's time to start bulking up a little bit to increase my metabolism to help burn more fat. Yah-stinkin'-hoo.

AAAAAAAND I hope everyone has a great not-Monday!

Good morning!

James, you should summer in WI. This morning it was 60, now it's around 70. We might hit mid 80's today, but it will go back to the 60's tonight. Good sleeping weather.
Holy He**. That sounds heavenly. Too bad WI is so far away!

I'll keep the heat though. I've got beaches and mountains all within an easy driving distance. Warm enough for swimming pools in the summer and cold enough for a little snow in the winter. Yeah. It might be crazy hot for a month or so, but its worth the trade off for the rest of the year!

We will be closed from
August 21st at 4pm central time
until September 1st at 9am.
Checkout, email, and the ticket system
will be closed.
Please plan accordingly.
Thank you!
Please please PLEASE post this again before you close. With my stoopidity, you know I would be the one to forget to place another order in time.:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

Thanks for the heads up on your schedule FV.

James, you've done great on your loss too! You always get yourself back on track. It's not about how long it takes someone. It's about whether you do it at all. You've done really good! It's not easy at all to lose weight especially when you have a lot to lose and the prospect of months worth of dieting is what it will take to get it all off. I'm on month 5. I'll keep at it until I meet my goal and even then will always have to watch what I eat. I never had a weight problem until my early 20's. My mom does, sister, and grandmother, and who knows who else. Bad genes I guess.

This morning doctor appointment went good. It's a new doctor and I really like him. The kids actually see him so I already knew he was very thorough. Made a few tweaks and such to my daily regimen and all went well. My other doctor appointment in a couple of hours is with my general practitioner. Basically addressing a couple of issues that have been going on a couple of months like I am pretty sure I have a raging UTI, is there anything that could be causing my vision to change so dramatically, and the hip pain that won't go away. Just saved up several things to address all at one time. They were piling up and not getting any better so thought I better go on in.

I'm considering coloring my hair again but doing high lights and low lights of light blonde and medium brown. It's been over a year since I've colored it. I was waiting until my natural color was all grown in so I can see what it was. Well there is just too much gray going on. Way too much. Didn't realize there was that much. My mom even commented on it. She said the gray highlights look good. Who wants gray highlights??? And I think the fact that my hair is super short right now is making it more noticeable.
