I have a facepalm story from work today.

I was back at the supervisor's desk getting them to look up tracking for a customer, and they got a phone call from another customer, so I got handed the phone. The lady was at the Lancaster PO, and had a money order of about $250 that was made out for the wrong amount, and she needed to cash it and get one with the right amount. Lancaster PO told her they didn't have enough money to cash it, and she wanted to know if we did. I'm glad she couldn't see my face.

I asked to speak to the clerk, who I then told to sell the new money order
first in the transaction, THEN cash the incorrect one - you don't need any freaking cash if you do that!

She was going to have the poor woman drive about 60 miles!
