Here's the project. We just hung it outside to let the wind blow the wrinkles out. It's a replica of Chris Kyle's sniper flag. The wrinkles make the lettering look off, it's really not that bad. I think.

Well I just quit my every other Saturday job. I'll be working at the one grooming shop all the time now. I just wasn't making enough money to justify going to the other place. I was nervous about telling her but she took it well and said she understood. Now I work Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday of at the bigger shop. Tuesday's and Thursdays are cleaning Granny's and my sisters house. I'm sad to leave though. The owner and I are good friends and I've been there 9 years.

Are you staring at the blurry tracking?
My glasses shipped

I have an appointment for the left eye surgery on Monday the 31st. *skeered* Obviously I won't be in to work that day. Mr. V wants us to go to Red Lobster afterwards, he said it would be awesome for me to order seafood with a pirate patch on my eye.

Adorable! How are they all getting along now? Squabbling like real sisters yet?

That sounds really good! And someone needs to teach both of us how to cook less. Lots less.
Made corned beef and colcannon, which is basically mashed potatoes and cabbage (or you can use kale). It's really yummy! And of course there's enough for an army. Somebody posted the recipe on FB and I thought it sounded interesting.

I had a reuben with fries. We went out with another couple to grab a bite.
I ate another salad. I wasn't terribly hungry but needed to eat something.

I think I like the cut of Mr V's jib.

Evenin' all.

Not too much going on here. I mowed the yard. I miss my riding mower already. Unfortunately, the yard just isn't big enough for it. It took about an hour to get it with the push mower.

Dinner was a light affair for me. I finished off what was left of my Cuban Black Bean Soup. No traditional Irish food for me. It's ok though. Finding good corned beef around here is not an easy task.

I think that means its time for bed. I don't know WHY that means its time for bed, but I'm sure there's a reason.

Goodnight!!!

Good morning everyone.

Weather is gonna be so-so today. Yesterday saw a high temp of 84. Today will be a bit closer to our "normal" temp for this time of year. Around the mid 60's. The rain is supposed to hit later this evening. We're hoping we can get Kat's softball practice in first. I would hate to drive an hour to get her to practice only to have it start raining after a few minutes. The rain is gonna stick with us through Friday. Then, hopefully, it will be nice for Kat's tournament this weekend.

Nothing too fun and exciting going on around the work front. Still feel like Im behind in my workload. Douche Canoe is still piling more stuff on. Eh. It'll all get done when I can get to it.

We had kind of a long night last night. Right after I said goodnight here, I got a text from my mom. She was sitting at the hospital with my sister in law and 8 year old niece. My niece is on a cheer team, and last night, she took a really bad fall and broke her humerus. BAD. Not that any break is a good one, but this one is BAD. I saw the xrays and pix, and Im shocked that the bone didnt break through her skin. It's that bad. This morning, the orthopedic docs will reset it and pin it in place. I havent heard yet, but Im betting she'll have at least two months in a cast of some sort. I feel really bad for her. Not only because of the break, but because she is a very active kid. Cheer team, always running, or skateboarding, or rollerblading, etc. The girl just doesnt slow down. And all of that will have to stop for a little while.
