And a happy good morning to all you beautiful people.
PD, it's good to see you again sir. I hope all the stuff that's kept you away has passed.
My weekend was a busy one. Got things taken care of like fixing a garbage disposal. Unclogging the kids' bathtub drain, which wasnt too bad once I got the snake down there. Unclogging the kids sink drain, which required removing the p-trap. THAT was bad. A 5" diameter hairball caked with toothpaste and somehow, pieces of paper.

Reset the deck height on the riding mower and got most of the grass knocked back. Never got the chance to get the push mower out to finish it though, so it still looks like garbage, but not as bad as it was before I started. Friday night, we had a nasty storm blow through. Saturday morning was greeted by half of our maple tree laying in the back yard. So, yesterday I was going to celebrate Labor Day with child labor. I got out the chainsaw and was going to have the kids pull the branches around to the front, next to the truck, so I could load them to take them away. I had enough gas to make three cuts. I tore my garage apart looking for my small gas can so I could mix some more gas, but could not find the blasted thing. Just something else to add to the list of carp we need to buy now.
Sunday was awesome though. I did as much nothing as humanly possible all morning, then as soon as Mrs E got home, I met up with a few guys at the
shop that does all the work on my bike, and we went on a group ride. It was my first. And very well may be my last. The route we took was fun, full of twisties. But my level of experience wasnt close to theirs, and I found myself pushing harder than I liked just to keep up. At one point, I was leaned so far over in a curve, I scraped my lower fairings. Street bikes might look good with lowered suspension, but it kills their ability to really attack the corners. Compared to stock, to make a turn, the lean angles would be the same, but that lost inch or so is the difference between scraping a fairing of foot peg and an inch of clearance, and loss of control of the bike when the suspension gets unloaded. I would love to get the stock ride height back on it, but I cant afford to get it done.
Today is going to be interesting. Mel's first softball game is at 6. Kat's first volleyball game is at 6. Thankfully hers is an Away game, and we dont plan on going. It's not like she can play anyway, with the boot still on her right foot. And I have to work an hour of OT to be on a conference call that starts at 4. Tomorrow is a gym day, which will have to be worked around Mrs E working at night, which she doenst normally do when the kids are in school, but they're short handed at the store and she's trying to pick up enough hours to get some OT herself. Thursday will be my first time on the field as an umpire. I'm sure there's something going on Friday, too, other than it's another gym day. But I cant think of it right now.
Hope everyone has a great day!
