Fall like here. Went GRrrrrrrrrrrrr shopping GRrrrr. Not much happening here. To cool for the roof paint to dry. I need a Sunday and Monday in the 80-90 range with no rain. So coop remodels on hold yet again. Would really like the roof not to leak before I start the inside. Oh well down times good too.

Afternoon everyone!

Had a busy morning. I finally got that tree cut up and loaded in the truck. Readjusted the mower deck, so it now cuts level. Mowed the yard. And now...nothing but football!

The weather is unbelievably perfect. Temps are 70, nice breeze, sunny skies. Perfect. Perfect enough to ride the motorcycle, if I can find my cold weather base layers. It's going to be close to 50 in the morning. Which is a bit too cold for a comfortable ride.

Good Morning! :)

Nothing really planned for today. It has cooled down a little here, so maybe I'll get into the garage and figure out if the bike needs a new battery or not.
You know, if you rode more, you would know your batts good!

James, do you have a pair of leather chaps?? I have an extra pair, prolly about 32-36 x 34. If you think they'd fit your svelte self, PM me and let me know. :) My youngest won't wear them, and they are a few inches short for him anyway. They can be cut off if they are too long.

Now I want real bacon, not this turkey bacon I usually eat.

Hubby just called from work to tell me he won a raffle at some sort of event on the base yesterday. I smell a little trip coming up. He got 2 nights at the Marriot in downtown Atlanta, gift certificates for two steak dinners, and 2 Braves tickets!!! This will be awesome to take two mini vacations in the same year. Alone. It's coming through the mail so planning on planning something soon.

Good morning all and "Happy" Monday.

Holy monkey butts. It is cold. We officially hit a record low this morning. 46. We went from lows in the upper 70's and highs in the low 90's to FORTY SIX DEGREES IN TWO DAYS. The GOOD part of that kind of drastic change is the fact high's are supposed to be between 75 and 80 this afternoon. Still. Too cold to ride the bike to work. Maybe I'll ride to the gym this evening or something.

Apparently, I did something right on the ballfield last Thursday. The guy in charge called me last night and told me that he wanted me back on the field tomorrow. I may end up missing Melanie's game. Or I may end up calling it. It'll just depend on how he moves us around.

Kat is going in to the orthopedic doc today to have her foot checked on. If the boot comes off, she'll be able to play in her first volleyball game tomorrow. Unfortutatley, it wont end before Mel's game starts, which means if I'm working the 12U game, no one will be there to watch the beginning of Mel's game. We'll see how it works out though.

Not much else out of the norm going on. Always running around. Always busy. Gym tonight. I MIGHT have eaten too much over the weekend. Apparently, all of the yard work I did yesterday wasnt enough to offset the difference. But the ice cream was so good. Soooooo good.

Another little tidbit... The head coach of what we were hoping to be Kat's next travel ball team had an accident. A bad one. He was riding his 4-wheeler when he lost brakes. As the machine went over a cliff, he jumped off. From what we were told, he fell 30' and the quad fell closer to 100'. He's in really bad shape. They dont know if he's going to live. If he does live, they dont know if he'll ever walk again. Severe head trauma, multiple broken vertebrae, punctured lung, broken ribs, and more that she couldnt remember. It really sucks, not just because of the team doesnt have a head coach at the moment, but because he is just a really good guy. The lady that told Mrs E about it at work yesterday is the wife of the guy that was going to be the assistant coach. Mrs E told her that under no circumstances are they to give up on those girls because they dont have a head coach and volunteered me to co-coach with him. And as long as we can work out the scheduling, I'm all for it. As long as those girls want to play, we're going to make sure they can play.

James, do you have a pair of leather chaps?? I have an extra pair, prolly about 32-36 x 34. If you think they'd fit your svelte self, PM me and let me know. :) My youngest won't wear them, and they are a few inches short for him anyway. They can be cut off if they are too long.
Meeeeh. I'm not exactly a chaps kinda guy. But I really do appreciate the offer!!!

Happy game day!!!! The packers won because I made this, prepare to drool. I mixed it up with regular bacon, hot peppered bacon, and onions.
almost ready to bake:

TaDa!!!!
:glare:
I refuse to like that.
Had to post it to James on FB too, he needs to see it twice.
:glare:
Definitely wont like that.

Holy crows, I tasted it. Bacon heaven. Now I have to make sure not to even look at the thing.
And I cant bring myself to like that. Too much torture.

I did tell Mr V to feel free to ship leftovers my way. Vacuum seal it, pack it with dry ice in a styrofoam cooler, and send it overnight... it would get here safe and sound!

Work is a buger today. Other groomer called in w/ cramps and left her mom and i to shave down 3 large labs. Thats on top of the 2 i already had. I know cramps can hurt, i remember. But good grief suck it up and come work. Shes so freaking dramatic.

Yesterday I ended up tweaking the Duck pen so their ready for winter. Just had to cut a bunch of boards and screw them in place. I love my cordless saw and drills. Today I'm making a pen for the 3 girls That cant get along with the other 3. Hoping if I put them up agents each other they will eventually be in one pen. Not realy wanting 4 pens for winter. But not wanting to get rid of any just yet.

That's awful James, our prayers are with him for a full recovery.

Slackers suck Tiff. It makes it hard to have a cheerful attitude going to work.

I let my 2 duckies go swimming in the big pond yesterday. The smaller one went bonkers, diving and swimming all over. The bigger one was scared of the fish and kept asking to get out. So I took her back to her baby pool. She can't walk well so she honks like mad until I carry her the right direction. She steers by holding out her head and neck in the direction I'm supposed to go. She kicks when we arrive at her chosen destination. Yep, she has me trained.

Not sure how to give them their winter deeper water yet, I'm thinking on it.
