And a happy happy Tuesday morning to everyone!
I had a kinda busy weekend. I spent all day Friday and Saturday at the race track. 2 days, 26.5 hours. Not the most Ive gotten in two days, but its still a lot. The race ended around midnight Sunday morning. It shouldve been about an hour earlier, but it wouldnt stop raining all week. I finally clocked out at 1am. But then I had to wait for traffic to die down, which means meeting up with friends and having a couple of beers. And a sip of watermelon moonshine. Dont worry, it was literally two beers and a single sip. I didnt want to get tipsy before an hour drive back home. I finally left around 4am, and got home around 5. Sunday, the lady that runs the church choir hosted a "thank you" lunch for the people who help her out the most. That included Mrs E because she helps out with the kids' choir. We left there and took Kat to the ballfield for practice with her travel team. I got home and mowed the backyard, cooked dinner, then got the kids to bed.
Yesterday, I actually had to adult... I dont like adulting. Adulting is better left to others who are better at adulting. The adultier adults. Yep. I had to put on what Mrs E refers to as "real clothes" (business casual) and go to work. I met with the first small group of new techs that just got hired. My boss said he only wanted me to come so they could put a face to my name and title. So I did. Then I went to the new warehouse (which we STILL dont have possession of yet) to get measurements of all of the offices to make sure that when we order furniture, everything will fit. We're going to have a LOT to get done before we get started. Thankfully, we're going to have several techs with nothing to do for a couple of weeks that we can put to work.
Then, Melanie's team had practice. I use the term "team" loosely. We had FOUR players show up. Out of 12. Well, 11... Melanie still cant play because of her arm. We're about to play our first playoff game Thursday, and I had four players show up. I'm going to seal our loss and pizz off 7 sets of parents by putting my worst four players, but the only four who showed up to practice, at the top of the lineup and in the infield. I just dont understand it. When they dont show up for practice, all it does is hurt the players. Ungh. I hate people.
Tonight, Kat has a game with the Rec team. I've been voluntold to keep the scorebook again. I hate keeping the book. Grr.
And unless anything changes, Thats all I've got until I go back to the track Saturday morning. I may be getting the warehouse keys Friday, but I'm not even sure about that.
Well, time to go figure out why my "new" car wont start.
I hope everyone has a good day!
