hmm think your doing something wrong fill mine like 10 time by now with no flooding issues and i never use the juice control - Did you over fill?
Secondly there is no point in an indicator since you have to turn the juice control more than 360 to close it off you simply need to turn it untill it will not turn any more I agreed however it is way to hard to turn making imo useless i recon finding a thinner O ring and replacing the one on the Atty would fix this
Anyway good review sorry to hear your not loving the flavour or vapour!

I'm intrigued what would you change on the deck, I personally think the design is great however the build quality is poor like most clones i've owned are better quality..

Excellent review @Yorkyboy, I liked reading your straight forward opinion, and your post was organized nicely.
Thanks @ThunderDan . Glad you liked it :)

I do like the tank and will use it along with my others, just not instead of them like I do with my Goliath V2's instead of my still lovely and faithfull Billow V2's :D

I'm not aware I overfilled it, but I will keep trying :)

The juice control isn't so much an issue for me as I either have it on, or off as I use thicker liquids. For those who may use it to control thinner liquids, I feel it would have been good to have some kind of indication so that you know how far on or off it is, but I guess you would get used to it over time.

The flavour and vapour is good and I will definitely be using the tank - I am vaping on it now actually. I just don't feel either are as good as the Goliath, though pretty close IMO, but it is certainly not something that would put me off using it :) I can now have 3 flavours to choose from at one time! lol

Here's what I got from Smog in my InBox "I was expecting 600 pieces, but only received 200 pieces. I should have the next 200 on Monday and the last 200 sometime next week. Orders are being shipped out by date received. Sorry for the trouble folks! Just a *little* while longer and everyone will have this tank of greatness :D"

Thanks for your review yorkyboy. I unfortunately had a feeling that they rushed to add the juice control to it as an afterthought. That seems to be the main complaint in the few reviews I have seen thus far. Originally they did not announce that it would have it and suddenly they updated that it would. The real kicker in it vs. the Goliath v2 is now you can buy the Gv2 for almost half the price of the Cv2. It's only $25 on smogs site vs. the $40 for the Cthulhu. Unless the vape and quality were miles beyond the Goliath idk how I could recommend it above it. I am sure I will enjoy the Cthulhu when it comes in but I will not be buying a second, especially at that price point.

I've just done a re-wick using the method I used for my Billow V2 and it's wicking amazingly. My advice is:

  • Very little cotton, just enough to fill the top part of the juice channel, none at all in the channel where it gets a little thinner
  • Form a barrier of cotton at the back of the deck, where the small gap between the ridge of the airhole and the posts is, to stop any juice getting down there

I did this video a while ago for the Billow V2 and the same principal applies to this:

BTW - do not use the wick ring!! I have had to cut mine off with wire cutters as it got completely stuck! I think a bit of cotton had got stuck in the threads

Hope that helps

Well that Sucks! I ordered cause it said there were 55 in stock.
I hate it when your lead to believe they have stock but don't :(
Lets hope Monday is a realistic estimate and were not waiting forever.

Very accurate review @Yorkboy, I've experienced the same issues having used it for a couple of days now.

Juice control is hard to move and I have had a bit of leakage when filling but nothing serious. I wish the threading was better it is rough.

The build on the dual coil deck is not for the unexperienced there's quite a bit of fiddling around to get the wicks right, but I guess that will be pretty much the same for any tank with a similar design, and I've not had a deck like this to build on before.

I'll play around with some different builds and see what works best.

The more I use it, the more I'm getting used to it. I think it's one of those tanks that grows on you, bit like a song on the radio, the more you hear it, the better it gets!

I've just done a 10 wrap NI200 build on a 2.5mm rod and it's lovely. Comes out at 0.07 ohms.

I linked to a video a few posts up with how I'm wicking it that may help. Not had any issues with it so far and drinks that juice up just like it should! :)

Yes I've discovered it's drinking habit, it's like an alcoholic on a bender.

Still got my first build in mine as it seems to be working ok, but I can't crank up the power to much it gets a bit dry.

Your right about a learning curve, I think there's a few of us just trying to suss out everything.

I'm not unhappy with the tank, just need to get used to it.
