As far as I'm concerned, the only downside to this tank is...running out of juice! I really gotta learn to time my purchases better. My local store in town sells awful product and is overpriced. $1 per ml for SAD quality juice. But there isn't another joint for about 30 miles that even sells the stuff.

I hear that, I do. Some of the stuff at these shops has a definite Chemically Taste to it. I get Mount Baker Vapor Unflavored at either 12mg or 6mg 50/50 for like $ 29 for a 236mL (8 oz.) bottle. I keep my Cthulhu V2 filled up.

Just got mine in from vapordna and did not expect such shoddy build quality. Airflow control is super loose and basically moves on its own, juice control ring is just a weird overly complex design, and machining just poorly done. As a bonus i have a fair sized metal shard that came in the tank I guess they couldnt bother to clean out.

Was really excited for this tank for the top fill, interchangable deck, and the velocity deck, but after seeing the build quality I'm just super disappointed.

You might photo document and send Cthulhu Mod an email if its that bad. Please do note, though, the airflow on mine felt loose, but once it was actually on my mod and assembled correctly, it has a great resistance. Looser than some, but it doesn't move until I want it to.

As far as the complex design, what has you stumped? Have you thrown a build on it yet?

Haven't had a chance to throw a build on it yet, but having just taken it apart to see how the juice control works its just alot less intuitive to open and close than the juice control on the goliath v2.

Also regarding the airflow control mine has a ton of play between the peg that meant to keep it in place and the air slot and there is almost no resistance.

We'll see though tommorrow when I have more time to play around with it.

Yeah, that doesn't sound all that dissimilar from mine (re: airflow adjustment). I think you'll find it will tighten up once you have it assembled correctly and/or it sitting on top of a mod. It definitely is a lot less intuitive than most juice controls, but I think we're finding that the juice control is basically just an added safeguard with this mod. You don't actually need the inner ring. If you want to avoid it, fill it, screw the top cap on just enough so that it locks, and then tilt it upside down to finish screwing. Mine hasn't leaked a drop with that method.

I would also recommend not removing the wicking ring, at all. It basically ensures a dead-on wick if you cut your wick to the bottom of the ring and then tuck your wicks into the ring so that there are just a few fibers peeking out the bottom.

I hope you end up liking it. I loved my Goblin. I loved my Goliath v2. I loved all my Lemos and Billows. But I haven't touched them since I've received this (and gotten past some of those initial quirks).

I'm wondering if anyone other than myself has taken a really good look at the frosted tank closely. What I can tell you firsthand is that the texture, the roughness of the edges, the visible cut marks on each end caused by the cutting blade, as well as the sound produced when tapping it are all consistent with polycarbonate. Also, the reflections made when flash is used while taking a close-up photo suggests it as well. Pyrex or regular glass do not exhibit these properties. Joshua may have initially confirmed the frosted tank is glass, however I respectfully have to disagree.

Although I prefer the clear glass tank and haven't used (and probably won't use) the frosted one, VaporDNA has confirmed the frosted tank is PMMA (Acrylic).

I'm using the Frosted Tank, but with Unflavored 12mg MBV 50/50, should be OK ??
It's perfectly fine for most juice (and certainly for unflavored too)...just have to be careful of certain fruit flavors which could crack the tank such as lemon or lime and a few others.

Man oh man does the black version look good. Supposed improved threading though my ss version has fine threading.

Edit: Apparently they've upgraded their CNC machine.

As a side note, I would just like to add my +1 on the dual coil deck. I tried both decks and it's hands down the dual coil deck. While the single wasn't horrible (a little tight on the draw), the dual coil deck on this thing is soo nice I can't ever picture myself using the single again. Nice dense wet vapor that wicks the highest vg juices at around 50 watts and this does it in spades.
