Fog machines, I have worked on and worked with many...
There are many types and types of fog juice. Since I live in Indiana and only have experience in Indiana where a "low" humidity level is over 40%, there is plenty of water in the air for the PG to grab. The fog juice I generally use is mostly PG, but also contains VG and water. On humid days, 90-100% humidity, the fog output is too much even on the lowest setting. On low days, 40-60%, we sometimes have difficulty keeping the area fogged well with the units we have.
I also notice that my son can take my PV, same juice, same timed draw, and produce 3x as much vapor on exhale as I do.
I also know that I get dehydrated quickly if I do not drink water when vaping, so there is no question in my mind as to the humectant quality of the vapor.
It would be interesting to see if plain PG would produce vapor when heated in an actual dry situation. Anyone who has a chamber that has that kind of enviromental control should be able to run some test for us provided the owners of said chamber are willing to let said member do such a thing. Who's raising their hand?
