As long as rules are applied, ie. no listing of any company that has not posted and supplied actual testing results.

Understand, this topic was started in January.......at least it was started. :) Yes, at this point it would be good to have a list. Just that somebody would have to take ownership of it a little, since we have already seen postings that say a vendor is DAP free when they haven't provided anything but advertising copy on a website to back that up. :)

Unable to find them, can you provide a link please? Are they a manufacturer or just reselller of big flavoring company's flavorings and you are talking about DIY flavorings, not ejuice, right?

at any rate, googled Vapor Flavor and no hits......

Yup, we have control over known risks, not unknown ones.

This, it seems like there is a growing body of vendors publishing test results, so why not just go with them? And the better the industry self regulates the less likelihood the FDA pops in and says "you can have these 3 flavors"

Lots of vendors are doing this now ! Given the flavor profile of Halo juices, it was never likely that they have a significant amount of diketones in their juice imo. They never really jumped on the dairy flavored bandwagon in the first place.

I asked directly in the halo forum and they said results will be up soon

Well sorry - did not provide link but you can c/p it
MsLoud, I can't get your address above to work even with c/p. Can you try it or try to post it again? Or tell us the name of the FB group and is it an open group? Thanks!

I tried to copy and paste the doc but it would let me :(

Ill try something else - 1 sec

The group is Public :)

Well, the doc is secured so it will not let you copy the content.

The vendors listed are:
Vaporshark
Nicvape
The Vape Space
The Vapor Bar
Baker White
Mad Mike's
JuiceMafia
Mountain Oak Vapors

Also says - these vendors are not validated on changes etc - and not all juice may be tested - when purchasing you need to ask/review the juices.

I will say - by reading the FB page - these guys stay on top of their stuff. They are pretty adamant about checking vendors out and having test proven documentation before a vendor is added to the list. As with all things though, it is up to the consumer to validate the products - at least this is a good start.

You could sample at the B&M first to see which ones you like, then check the Njoy page often. They have a lot of sales. Ejuice.com and Goodlife and a bunch of other online sites have them too.

The thing about these are that the juices are so different since they are all by different mixologists. There is no base in common or specific style that you can attribute to a juice maker.

Iceman,
No offense, but here we go again. ;)

Where are the test results?

All these companies writing "ad copy" that they are diacetyl and acetly proprianol free......that's not really what we're trying to build in this topic.

I can list about 40+ vendors right now who say they are DAP free.....but they haven't tested. Therefore, you don't know, I don't know, and even THEY don't know.

this was the outcome of Dr. F's tests when some of this became more widely known in 2014....he was testing ejuices that vendors "thought" didn't have any of that stuff, yet over 70% of the samples he tested had DA or AP!

We are trying to parse thru companies that can show test results. Building on the idea, that as Dr. F. said, without testing, there is no way to know. (AFAIC, there are no flavoring companies, only ejuice companies (already mixed) who have performed testing for DA, AP as well as butryric acid, acetoins, etc. although Linda at TPA/TFA has certainly made a start of at least listing the ones she knows about from feedback with her suppliers).

I totally agree with you on the fact that many ejuice manufacturers are at the mercy of the favoring they buy from whatever vendor and that vendors supplier. Vapor flavor is a manufacturer of flavorings not a reseller. They formulate and produce flavorings not ejuice. Now be it that we have to take their word for it I would put more credit their way than a company that purchases what ever flavorings from whom ever to produce their juice. I have pretty much been DIY my own juice for a while now with Vapor Flavor flavorings. Yes they are a bit more expensive then others and they do state the dont use DA PA in their flavoring production.

Hopefully when the sticky is created of diketone vendors it's a sticky of "vendors with test results available proving they are diketone free for every flavor", not "vendors claiming to be diketone free"

To be honest, and on a more positive note, I think that at some point not in the too distant future, a list will be unnecessary. I think the industry is *trying* to self regulate, it is a rocky road at the beginning, but the big name vendors have already "stepped up" and little by little there are more with test results. At least, enough for vapers who do not want to vape DAP to have a pretty decent selection of companies to buy from. It's a start. :)

Considering there are thousands of eliquid vendors, and many more each day, a definitive list will never happen, but I think many companies will WANT to show testing just as assurance to their customers, or to gain more customers, etc.

I remember when I started vaping I couldn't do more than 10% PG......back in 2012 there really weren't many vendors at ALL who sold 100% VG eliquids. Really! It was a big topic for those of us who were PG sensitive. Now, almost everybody offers high VG etc.
