Disassembly of Prometey 2 and Achilles

Many have wanted to know how to properly disassemble the Ti Prometey 2 and Achilles. Bashik has been kind enough to send me this in his own words with pictures.


Instructions for disassembly Prometey 2 or Achilles


As follows (pictures Prometey)
Remove the screw above zero, the one that is in the connector under the flat-head screwdriver. The
screw is tightened with considerable force. Then, swaying, you need to get the area of the base,
with no need to twist the rack. In such, rinse both sides of the contacting pad under running
water. Assemble in reverse order. The screw must be tightened well, but do not overdo thread
M2 still and you can rip.

Nice mate, just wante to add the following:

- Base screw is rather tight, so take care unscrewing it
- Don’t twist the post section off the base section, just wiggle it off
- On reassembly, don’t over tighten the base screw it can rip out the insulator in the 510 connector

I still don't have the guts to do this. Looks simple enough and probably will try it soon just to see how this thing ticks.

Also what to do with the washers that come with these - are they for extending the pos connector pin?

Yes Uke, shims were sent in case they were needed

On a side note - if its not broke - dont fix it.

As the juice does get down there, probably prudent to clean periodically.

Just blow out the juice, or rinse in water and blow that out.
