It's actually very expensive.
People talking about "sterile" probably don't know that as soon as you put it in your mixing bottle it's not sterile anymore (or do you have your bottles sterilized before use?). You're not going to inject this stuff under your skin like a vet or doctor does.
Just take 9 grams of table salt (without iodine) and add 991 ml of distilled water to make 1 ltr of 0.9% Saline solution. The price of the bottle is higher than its contents (around $0.50 I guess).
I'm using 10% in all my liquids which translates to 0.09% salt.

What about the anti-caking agent in the non-iodized salt? Safe, not safe? What about sea-salt?

I usually use 1 or 2 drops per 10ml, but I don't think it really adds a sour taste, just sweetens a tad. I haven't tried more than that, you may give it a try though. I have had decent results with the TFA Sour @ 1-2%. Still tinkering with it to find that good sour taste.

Think you. This helps a great deal. It will save me some time getting it right.

Great thread. One of the one's you have to read through many times to get all of the info. Good info on saline. I'll have to try that. I regularly use EM, AP (love it), TA, TFA sweetener, ACV and real lemon juice (3-4 drops per 15 ml in fruit mixes). I've learned that as a DIY mixer, once you get the flavor percentages right the additives make all the difference but are the hardest things to nail down.

Do you usually use these different sweeteners together in a single recipe? I am trying to decide if I should use lemon juice with sweetener or just one or the other. Still in the experimentation phase. Also going to read up on AP, what flavors is this usually used with, what is the effect?

I just got some AP (Acetyl Prazine 5%PG) to mix with my RY4 double. How much should I put in? Should I "water" down the AP first?

And final question, the ry4d is steeped. Will it need further steepage because of the AP?

I've seen it suggested at about 2ish drops per 5ml. It is quite concentrated. I'm vaping some homemade RY4 (thought it might not pass with muster with the Master as RY4) with AP approaching 1% and about 5% of other concentrated flavorings.

...good fortune and let us know how it goes.

Poison? Come on! I'm diabetic and depend on it. Aspartame and others including inulin and stevia, however, causes me tinnitus among other nerve impairing conditions.

Tinnitus. I have that also, have found anything to relieve it? I use Lipoflavanoid. an OTC pill you can get from WalMart for about $28 of 100 pills take 4 a day. it doesn't cure it but definitely helps tone it down.

I like 1 drop from a 20ga needle per 5mL.

I use a 1ml syringe for small amounts I like to have a real measurement, not a drop. My last recipe a bakery type flavor I used 0.5% or 0.15 ml in a 30ml batch. Depending on what we are doing I have gone as high as 1.5% in a nutty peanut butter.

I want to know about the other Pyrazine, I saw it, I bought it. Trimethyl Pyrazine, From TPA: taste description: Nutty, musty, cocoa, drying, peanut-like and raw coffee notes

I added a bit to my Peanut butter as well. It seemed OK. Mrs likes it.
