Hey everyone,
I just started DIY and I was wondering if anyone has had this problem before I attempt. I read to add 2-3 drops of malic acid to fruit flavors 5ml but was wondering if this is too much and will cause polycarbonate tanks to crack? Or, if anyone knows what percent will caue them to crack? I have even read what flavors crack tanks and I am not having any problems with TFA ripe banana with the kanger t3s, but dont want to jinks my success by changing things. Any inside advice would be great. Thank in advance.

BTW I'm switching to Pyrex but my friends are not as willing.

I read through all the posts and didn't see this one that was recommended to me. I haven't tried it yet...

Davinna I made up a batch of your Dutchess with one addition I added 0.25% of Jalapeno. I find that when using chocolate much like in cooking a bit of chili pepper really makes the chocolate pop out.

hoorah.. read the whole thread through… focusing mostly on fruit applications (TFA, Capellas Lychee mainly)

- trying to get these factors to my Lychee juice: smooth, rich, sweetish

from what i read EM is more for bakery and Sucralose or Stevia or other "sweeteners" from Flavor vendors is for fruits.

Read that most vendors do not add sweeteners.

I find the TFA Lychee a bit tart and will go off mark if more than 7% as most charts imply (2 to 7%)
Capellas (10%) is closest to spot on, but could use something to smooth and slightly sweeten a little more.

Could it need more time than the 1 week for steeping?

I guess I'll try experimenting w/ some of the sweeteners to get that sharpness rounded out.

*if anyone is interested in a spot on perfect exotic type fruit, Capellas Sweet Mango is it as is (10%)…

sorry if i went OT

from what i gather i can just use marshmallow or cotton candy instead of EM?
thanks for the tips jcal!
and you're right the cream type flavors from TFA are really sweet… so yeah!
Hi ukeman I use ethyl maltol on my fruit flavors and it works well. Also fruit flavors don't much steeping .I vape right away and they are good.Try adding a little sweet cream to the lychee and other fruits for that peaches n cream taste

Tabanone is essentially the primary flavor of the "Tab" / "DK Tab" etc etc etc family of flavors from the various vendors.

Personally I don't care for this taste. To each their own.

If you like this style I advise simply sticking with e.g TFA DK tobacco flavor.

The straight Tabanone from TFA/TPA is overpowering. It will fumigate your domicile and you will have to hassle with diluting the .... out of it to end up with, well, the same thing as a bottle of TFA DK tobacco flavor.

Save yourself the hassle and pass on the straight Tabanone.

Some of the TFA/TPA butyl esters have recently caught my interest but I advise only for advanced mixers. They are potent, sharp, require a lot of experimentation and dilution, and if you break a glass vial of the concentrate man you will be forced to vacate your digs from the stench.

They are also potent solvents so without accurate (expensive) GLASS syringes you will have problems diluting the concentrates - they plasticize, swell, and the freeze up the usual plastic syringes most people use.

Trimethyl Pyrazine has potential for strong Turkish style tobaccos but it is potent, sharp, and can add a lot of wet ash tray taste. Another interesting "master" additive but much harsher than Acetyl Pyrazine and lots of trial and error to dial this one in..

More later if and when I can home in on something vape able.

Keep notes - never give up - never quit.

Or not ...

Lol

Regards
Robert

I just have been fiddling with TFA Cream varietys to smooth out some slightly sharp fruit flavors… mostly Lychee (TFA/Cap).

Initially the results are good… there is a noticeable difference between TFA Sweet Cream and Whip Cream. SC is richer, and a lot has almost a cafe accent, but does a better job of smoothing than the WC which is light and clean.

Has anyone considered mixing both and using (in a 10% solution) with fruits?

Lately I've added Distilled Water 1% (50/50 PG/VG) to my sharp Fruit Mixes.

I have considered trying it, but every time I go to the Pharmacy I forget to buy it.

I just got back from Cvs with some of their Sterile Saline Nasal Mist (.9% Sodium Chloride Solution). I know I read what dilution ratio to mix it with pg but I too lazy, to be honest, to go back through all the post to find out. Does anyone know the answer to this. or does it even have to be mixed down?

should'nt need to mix it down with anything. Just add it to the mix. Start at 3% and add more if the mix is still to thick. you should only be using this to thin a high VG mix so it wicks correctly in the atty.

Thanks Danny! I was also under the impression that it was used to help moisturize sinuses and throat and also to help make bakery mixes "pop", (since in real life cooking most baked goods have salt added to them)

i was in Longs today (the typical Walgreens in Hawaii)… and saw a CVS nasal solution of saline .9% but saw all the other additives and thought; maybe this is not the one you are referencing?

but i guess it is? so must be ok… wasn't sure.

not asking for controversy on anything… just if that is the one that we can use without making our own.
