OK I must say this was a bit challenging.....after building the cover would not go on....I thought the enclosure was too shallow in depth, so I thought this was a fail....after further study I was able to make a few "MODifications" and achieved a better result.....I have updated the pictures....

The mod went together well and I thought it was a wrap till I went to put the enclosure cover on an it would not mate properly. The guts of the mod were a bit thicker than the enclosure but I was able (on further review) to get it done.....happy day !!!

I'm back to looking for another enclosure for my next one....want to keep it small...but if another can't be found, this one will work.....just need a touch more room....

NOTE: the enclosure was originally designed to hold a 9 volt radio battery.....so you can say this is a "stealth" mod....small and compact.....the tank shown is a 3ml. mini tank.....enclosure OD measurements: 2 11/16" H x 1 1/4" W x 13/16" D

Thanks to Breaktru for the idea.....he built the first mod with this enclosure....

OK I must say my mod design failed.....shucks.....I'm posting my failed mod just to show that not all projects turn out like they should...

The mod went together well and I thought it was a wrap till I went to put the enclosure cover on an it would not mate properly. The guts of the mod were a bit thicker than the enclosure...as you can see I taped the battery to hold it in. It vapes great and works as expected, just wish the enclosure was just 1/4 inch deeper....

I'm back to looking for another enclosure for my next one....want to keep it small....any ideas appreciated.....

Just use a battery stretcher to thin up your battery :D.......sorry you probably wanted real ideas

Do you have wood working tools?

In one of the other DNA threads mwa102464 mentioned DuPont Corian....I haven't used it, but I want to try it.

Yep it is the 9 volt box...if it was only 1/4 inch deeper.....I'll be looking for an enclosure the same height and width and just a bit deeper (if available).....probably will move the fire button to the front on the next one....

Only had one minor issue...when piggybacking the board I found that the on-board fire button membrane is slighty raised, so when the battery touched the board it would fire....so I just "snipped" the on-board fire button off the board...issue resolved with no ill effects....

Any mod that gives ya an awesome vape is a success retird. As for aesthetics... I've been there done that too.

Good luck in your search for another case.

....so I just "snipped" the on-board fire button off the board...issue resolved with no ill effects....

I had to do that with Lexi and also Milo. I needed just that unch of height that the onboard fire button was using to make everything fit.

UPDATE: MOD BECAME A SUCCESS AFTER A SLIGHT "MODification".....

I have edited the OP and the Pictures......

Guess that is why they call it a MOD......and why modding is so much fun (and sometimes challenging)....

Now you're cooking.
What did ya do iron flat the battery?

Oh oh.....I wanna guess.... I'm guessing you took off the factory fire button????

Yep I did that before trying to put the cover on...still no go....I then noticed that the battery has a thin, soft, metal band around it ...... after further review I noticed the band extended above the battery...so I just bent the overage back on to the battery so it no longer stuck up above the battery....problem solved....

Yep, it's packed in there.....testing the battery life today.....been vaping all day (4 ml.'s vaped so far at 8.4 watts w/ 3.0 ohm carto) and the battery meter on the display is still above 1/2 illumination...been using it today for 13 hours...and counting.....

Thanks to Breaktru for the idea.....he built the first DNA20D mod with this enclosure....
