Do any veteran vapers still like clearos?

I've been vaping just over a year...but I'm the sort of person that when something interests me, I go to great lengths to learn everything I can about it...and try everything available. I tend to be obsessive, even. In my year + long journey I've tried a lot of juice delivery systems. When the clearos first came out earlier this year (March?...sometime around then) I thought they were pretty cool...but after a month or so, I'd concluded they were too fiddly, leaky, prone to cracking (all I vape is menthol for crying out loud! No cinnamon or banana, citrus or cola...go figure!) and just didn't deliver a very good hit. IMO. So in my humble estimation...they are not good. In fact, they turned me off so thoroughly that now I have NO interest in anything involving wicks. (I had tried several incarnations of the "CE2" et al, also). I've finally landed where I like being in my vaping world...and that is using caromizers (Elites, Kanger horizontal bottom coils ..which includes Volts, and Smoktech. No Boge. They taste weird to me). I don't use those a lot anymore..but do use them. Mostly my preferred vape is EMSCC (eGo Mega Single Coil Cartomizer) at 2ohm, and SmokTech 2ohm single coil XL carto that I use in the "DCT" tanks. I can easily refill these systems with a needle bottle, they last a long long time with refilling, and most can be cleaned pretty easily. No leaking, and no fiddling and hassles. NO WICKS!

I get a little amused thinking about that. I see so many saying "polyfill is awful...tastes yukky" (or something along those lines). Guess I've always been a rebel. I like 'em. I get masses of smooth lovely vapor, and plenty of TH. And I don't have to fiddle and fuss with them. The DCTs can be a bit tricky if one is careless...but a tank refilling tool makes a world of difference in the "fiddle factor" and "oops!" occurrences. I consider myself a reasonably experienced vaper...and tried lots of things. But I've returned to what I know works well for ME. YMMV.

I used carto's and carto's in tanks for a long time. Tried the CE2's and never liked them. Might be because I didn't have VV yet. Get a VV device. Found the T2's and I find that they are the best way to vape. No leaks, no mess. These coils last forever. I have not killed one yet. I clean them every 5-6 refills and they just won't die. I have 2 that I have filled over 50 times so far. These are the cheapest and easiest way to vape.

Any problem with the T2's cracking from PG/acidic juices? I assume the casing on them is polycarbon ...

It's a type of mod with rechargeable batteries and atomizer or cartomizer with a bottle built into the device, when your vapor production gets low or weak you squeeze the bottle and replenish with fresh juice and whala, perfect vape every time, with another battery charged and kept in rotation. By far the most hassle free vaping I have found. The juice bottle holds either 4.5 or 10 mls of juice and the battery last me almost two days. I have both sizes from Vapage, the XL and the 2.0 Vmod. Both work excellent and are very affordable and easy to maintain hope that helps

I can't answer that. My juices are not acidic. I've used cartos and cartos in tanks for more than a year and a half and will most likely never go back. These T2's are the best. The coils I buy cost me $6.99 for a five pack. I might even try to rebuild one for the hell of it.

I might have to check these out if youre getting that kind of life out of them. Maybe its me but filler carts just don't seem to last long. I'm trying to get as cost effective as possible.

I’m not a veteran yet, but I’ve been using different types of clearos for the last six months. Right now I’m using a Kanger T3, and I love it. It’s a bottom coil, holds 3ml of juice, and the coil can be replaced (easily and cheaply). The first coil I used lasted about four weeks. It’s not very fiddly at all. Once every three or four days, I rinse the wicks and coil under hot water and give it a couple of dry burns. Other than that, it’s just fill and vape.

I'm not a veteran vaper but have tried cartos. Toooooo fiddly and time intensive for me personally. I LOVE "fill it n forget about it", so for me. the Kanger T2s with replaceable heads are by far the best ones I've used. Easy to fill, no leaks, use them for ages. I don't vape acidic or cinnamon juices so can't answer that question. I vape 100% VG through 50/50, and nary a problem on the 650 Twists or 900/1100 batts.

Got the pm. Thanks!

I actually just bought 5-6 clearos.
2 ce4+ v2 from myvaporstore.
1 v3 (replaceable head), 1 Baughway, and the mini nova from happyesmoker.

Unfortunately I'm now worried that most of them will be unusable ... as people have problems with them breaking down in PG/certain flavor additive juices. Went ahead and bought a metal tube for my mini nova plus a skirt from vapekings.

I've spent wayyy more than expected the past few days getting back into ecigs. Should have done a little more research.

On standard egos I use lr 1.7 ohm attys at valuevapor. I plan to use 2.2-2.4 ohm on my ego twist.

reading through the posts, a lot of people seems to think clearos in general are only a couple months old. but they were totally kicking around by the time i had started researching vaping in july 2011. :|

No the Stardust style and viva nava that everyone is suggesting to noobs these days, and are even showing up in starter kits are the clearos that we are talking about that have only been around for a short while. You don't see a lot of folks suggesting CE2's for noobs to try.
This time last year the discussions were all about carto tanks verses eGo-T's. Oh and the SD keyring that was suppose to be out before Christmas.

Tried day-um near every combo that's been heralded as the ultimate vaping device (including various RBAs) for eighteen months. I won't even try to go thru da alphabet list of stuff I've purchased...

What have I went back to? DCTs with those awful 1.5Ω SmokeTek DCs! I NEVER get dry hits with this combo. I can't detect 'filler' tastes and ever soooo much hate dry hits!

Will I try a 'latest & greatest' in search for da 'holy grail'? Absolutely! But only after extended positive reviews from this adventurous body of vaping explorers known as da ECF. So keep those reviews rollin' in!

Almost 3 years here. I used CE2s when they came out, tried a few versions and gave up on them. I was messing with genisis types also, and that evolved and I went with them almost exclusively now. Though, TBH, I enjoy a boge or kr808 on a small mod occasionally when I wish to stealth vape. My wife recently started vaping and she is setup with stardusts on an eGo and also is now using kr808s on a GG slim. Both work for her... and I have used her setup a few times. It works. Not the flavor & vapor I get on a genny, but effective. As far as life of the cartos, my experience is it really comes down to what your vaping in it. Some liquids will kill a coil/wick setup wether in a carto, atty, or mesh/coil setup. Some will vaporize relatively clean.
