Altaire Versailles, I would think if you don't approve of vaping, you wouldn't want to be on ECF. Or maybe you are promoting getting down to zero nic? Now that would be very positive. Although I did have problems with high blood pressure (204/126) landing me in ER until I got it straightened out, I still highly promote Ecigs but for me, I felt I should lower my nic. Not that I have scientific information but just a personal decision. However, when I see young people quitting smoking and turning to vaping, I'm ecstatic regardless of what mg nic they Vape! I wish we had Ecigs when I was younger. At least my lungs wouldnt be full of tar and black right now! The hard fact is I could NOT quit smoking! vaping has definitely improved not only my health, but many many friends I know also. You cannot disprove what I know personally after talking to real people that are benefitting from vaping over cigs. Of course it's always best to not smoke or Vape. But the truth is we couldn't quit smoking and most of us would probably still be smoking if it wasn't for vaping.

I vape. Its not that I dont approve. I smoked, but I wouldnt sit and pretend that there were no negative side effects just because its something I want to do. There are lots of negative things I do to myself but I can be honest with myself about them being negative I dont have to sugar coat them because theyre things I cant stop doing and I feel I need to justify them. Taking drugs period is not healthy. Period. Vaping may be less destructive than smoking. What Im not gonna say is vaping is healthy or a positive thing because I need it to not smoke anymore, or just because its not smoking, or because I like doing it. I didnt respond to the other guys because it seemed like they just wanted to argue and posture with me and I dont really care to argue about something like this because it doesnt matter. This is how these things work I said what I wanted, others have the right to have whatever opinion gets thier mood at the time, the argument doesnt interest me. I thought this was a site to discuss vaping, seems more like some kind of vaping cheerleader frenzy religion thing. I dont think Ive read one negative comment about vaping yet, am I violating TOS or something? Am I about to get banned? Doesnt seem normal.

I'm sure as heck not saving any money yet. I rolled my own analogs at $1 a pack! Of course, taking into consideration that I smoked almost 4 packs a day, I may start seeing a savings after I'm set with my equipment (if that ever happens) and juices that I like. Then comes DIY juice and RBAs, for more savings down the line. I'm sure I'll be in the black eventually.

I think it truly is all dependent on how deep into the rabbit hole you go. I think if you can get away with sticking to the basics, seeing what works for you and buying liquids from decently priced vendors (if you are not DIY-ing) it is easy to save money compared to smoking. But it is easy to get sucked into this world wanting to upgrade, tinker and buy everything you can or cannot afford. Besides my start up costs and my current trial and error with finding what works for me, I don't see how I can't save in the long run.

I'm always ogling gear, but I'm sticking to what I have for now. It works for me and it will last. I really love my current setup because it is simple and easy to maintain for a long time. The tinkerer in me wants a mod and a few RBAs, but I've come to realize that I don't need all of that to have a satisfying vape day after day.

I've got two Volt X2 batteries, so that's $50 right there. I also got a 900mah spinner for $30. Those should last me for several months before I will need to replace them.

Initially, I bought 10 cartomizers for $16, but I'm not using cartomizers anymore, so that'll be all that I spend on those in the foreseeable future. I got three T3 clearomizer tanks, which adds $21 to my expenses. I stupidly bought 5 spare heads that I will never get through to make for another $15. I say that I will never get through them because I have long since learned to re-wick and coil them with 32 gauge kanthal wire and 100% cotton cheesecloth, so I can use the heads I already have opened virtually indefinitely. I spent around $10 to get enough wire and wicking material to rebuild the heads I have at least 100 times. I already had a suitable multimeter for testing resistance, so that's covered.

I bought $30 worth of juice before realizing it was going to get expensive quickly, at which point I switched to mixing my own menthol juice. In total, I spent around $45 on enough supplies/materials to mix up at least 250ml of it at 12mg/ml (that's a very rough and conservative approximation) and I do love menthol enough to vape it all of the time if I have to. I already have glass vials/bottles and glass dropper lids for reusable storage/dispensing. I also have a $20 liter of everclear, which I tend to dilute and use for cleaning.

So all in all, I've spent around $235 on gear and supplies. I have been vaping since early February. When I smoked, I went through a $65 carton every 9 days on average, so that's a monthly expense of around $200 right there. And that's not counting the single packs I would buy when I wanted something different or ran out while I was out of the house. I'm also not factoring in the discounts I got on everything that I've bought, which range to anywhere from 5% to 15%.

Assuming I've considered everything I've bought so far and I've done my math right, I broke even a week or two ago. And now that my spending on expendables has dropped to $0, the savings will only continue to increase. By the time my batteries quit on me, I'll have saved enough money by not buying cartons to double up on batteries or buy an entry level APV and still be in the black.

In the long run we will save money.
My wife and me started about 6 weeks ago with vaping.
My wife is pretty happy with her ego-c twist and her kanger mt3. Yes in pink.
Me i also started with ego-c twist but i have bought a smok zmax rms and some tanks for my carto.
So i gues because my wife is happy with her ego and me rebuilding coils for her kanger.
I have a bit more too spend on stuff and still break even.

We spend about 400€ on smoking analogs a month for the 2 of us.
So untill know i would have spent 600€ on smoking.

Because of trying al lot of juice and some hardware expenses.
I would say about the same on vaping.
Stil waiting for vape mail. :)

But after have found ejuice we like i would say next 6 weeks would make out at +/- 150€
So saving money in the next 6 weeks if i can resist the urge to buy a new pv.

Where I'm at a 25 pack of cheap brand cigs is $10 so smoking pack and half a day the cost is about $450 a month.
I've placed 2 orders to get my gear and DIY liquids at $188 total including postage. I have enough DIY for about a year so I figure even if I splurge this next month on goodies my vaping is costing me less than half of what I used to spend.
Yeah I'm saving money and as long as I stay away from all the mods I've been drooling over I'll be able to pay for the vacation I've been dreaming of and feel good enough to enjoy it.

When I 1st started vaping it was a lot cheaper than smoking I rolled my own cigs and vaping was still cheaper but now it has become a hobby and I have all kinds of tanks and other things and I was breaking even then I started making my own eliquid and its cheaper than smoking cigs so in my opinion it all depends on what you want to do but the price is not all that important to me. In my opinion regardless of the cost it's a much better alternative to smoking
