i ask this because... i'm ambivalent. well, i'm ambivalent about nearly everything (only nearly because i'm ambivalent about making absolute statements :p)... okay, i can disclaimerahze all day, but my question is...

do you care about dropping nic levels, and cutting out the 'addiction' aspect?

on the one hand, i don't like being "addicted" to anything.

on the other hand, i don't see nicotine itself, apart from the addiction, as anything i'm hell bent on quitting.

on the third hand (ssshhh), i'm of the camp that that think nicotine can actually be helpful for some people, and i haven't decided whether that benefit to me outweighs the dislike of being addicted to something.

so, do you care about dropping nic? have you lowered your nic intake significantly? have you tried and failed? do you not give a rat's ... about it one way or another? or do you like vaping cause you can get as much nic as possible? :w00t:

I liked smoking, alot! So I'm going to keep vaping and the 18mg nic level makes me feel good too. I figure since I gave up the cigs and replaced it with vaping I made a good choice.Really don't feel that nicotine is bad, but just like caffeine, too much can make you 'twitchy'. Can't see myself trying for the 0 nic level, I like the buzz!:D

I wouldnt really see why someone wants to vape unless its for the nicotine but to each his own.

If someone vapes just for the sake of vaping with 0 nic, I'd think they have an addition already.. lol

I love my nic and dont plan to change. I smoker for 40 years becuase I loved the nic in cigarettes and now love the nic in e cgis..

I have stockpiled about 3 years worth of the stuff and plan on adding even more... lol

Because it's enjoyable, nicotine or not. In fact, I'd prefer not to be reliant on a drug I don't need to get me through the day. Plus, nicotine is bad for the cardiovascular system. I plan to reduce my nic level gradually and eventually vape 0 myself. I've quit smoking before w/o the benefit of e-cigs but sometimes the sensation of lighting one up is tempting even so. To each his own though.

I agree. The act of smoking/vaping... eg, the concentrated inhaling, holding it in, playing with the smoke, etc. it's just really enjoyable. Very sensual. Especially with all these delightful flavors. It was always really hard for me when I quit smoking and I saw people in movie smoking. I just love the whole ritual. What can be both the isolation and the communal nature of it. I guess it's just part of my identity. But whenever I quit, I don't have obvious nicotine withdrawal symptoms. I *like* nicotine, but I also found that after 24 hours without I would get nauseated when I smoked again. I haven't been nauseated with the vapes, so I am not so sure it was the nicotine.

Anyway, my point here is that the *act* of inhaling, holding it in, blowing it out, french inhaling, blowing smoke rings, the whole rhythm is so enjoyable.

I started vaping because it's a lot safer for me and my family. I would never smoke inside my house, always went outside, and am happy that I can finally enjoy being able to get my nic fix inside. I don't see myself quiting vaping, that's not why I started in the first place any way. I enjoy all the flavors way to much to quit. Maybe some were down the road I may start lowering my nic levels but as of right now, I'm enjoying what I'm doing and know it's a whole lot better than the other and I 'm happy!

I do not consider nicotine in this form any more dangerous to my body than caffeine. I play with my nicotine levels a bit and if I happen to drop to low or no nicotine then so be it, but I will probably always keep some higher around so I can grab that instead of a smoke during times of stress. I have no plans to quit vaping as long as the government doesn't force me to quit.
