Do you consider yourself a non-smoker?

I am pretty new to this scene and since I got my e-cig it has been two weeks since I last smoked a real cigarette. Still not sure if I classify myself as a non-smoker.

If somebody ask you if you're a smoker, what do you say?

BUT... When I'm talking to a smoker about vaping I say, "I didn't quit, I just smoke in a new, modern, healthier, more satisfying way." ;-)

I've not been asked yet but when I am, I'll say 'I'm an ex-smoker and now I'm a vaper. E-cigs are possibly the only thing that could help me quit and they're the best thing ever. Do you smoke?' Any excuse to promote ;-) x

Which is exactly why I answer the same every time, I didn't quit. "I gave up smoking cigarettes 5 months ago". Then I can go on to say what you did if needed

I went to our admin office today and discussed smoking/vaping issue since we recently had a 10% insurance increase for smokers to go with our new smokeless campus. I was told that I would officially be classified as a non-smoker when I was off of analogs for 3 months and signed paperwork to that effect from a physician. I am sure this is specific to our insurance provider and my employer, though. I think this is my 5th day without analogs, but I don't mind being a 'quitter' in this case.

Companies must pay a lot xtra for insur. for a smoker. I had a company a few years back offer me $500 to quit.

I consider myself a Recovering Tabacco/Nicotine Addict.

I tell them I'm definitely NOT a smoker! I'm a vaper! I carry info cards if I'm in public and have handed out quite a few. As the information comes out showing the health benefits of vaping we as a community must have a strong and intelligent following to keep our movement from becoming "classified" as smoking.

We are not smokers, we are vapers....

Definitely a non-smoker since I don't like it when someone lights up nearby.

i never thought about the insurance implications. in that case yes im a smoker. but for $500 oh im not a smoker anymore. i choce to vape and " breathe easy"

I quit smoking for vaping, it is a safer way to get nicotine.Plus no worries about harming anyone that is around me while I vape...Also I give out info cards with links to anyone who is interested.
