I was asked recently by a nurse if I smoked. I said "uh, I'm not really sure. Not traditionally speaking, but I use this (showed him my ecig)". He said, "if you don't use tobacco, you don't smoke".good enough.. I guess people on the patch or other NRT's are considered non-smokers too. It's been interesting the feedback I get from medical professionals, or at least the ones that are caring for me. 100% are encouraging ecig vs analogs. One actually said, "whatever you're doing, keep it up", because my health/quality of life has improved so much

So my answer is "no"
This would make a good poll, eh?

I consider myself a non-smoker. What I do with vaping is not smoking. There is no smoke. For the person that asked why does it matter, I'm proud that I finally can say 'I quit smoking'. After so many failed attempts, vaping has finally given me the chance to stay off of cigarettes. That's why it matters to me. My non-smoking husband says I'm a non-smoker. This is a Huge accomplishment!

I consider myself an EX-smoker, rather than a non-smoker. Psychologically, it makes a big difference to me. An ex-smoker has smoked in the past, but does not do so currently, although there is always the underlying temptation to smoke again. A non-smoker has never smoked, nor has the desire to smoke. Once a smoker, ALWAYS a smoker.

Very good point.

im definitely a non-smoker. smoking in the way i interpret it has got something to do with tobacco-products being incinerated. i absolutely dont do anything even remotely close to that. im still a nicotine addict and probably will continue to be for quite some time. actually i enjoy my nicotine and am not planning at all to give it up.
