i dont plan to quit vaping any time soon...i thought it may have made my nicotine intake worse as i was vaping 24mg with cartos and protanks but now that i am using RDAs with an RBA on the way i have started to lower my nic content in liquid..am at 18 now which i still think is high so im gonna order some liquids in 12mg and even try to get down to 6 but def wont stop vaping altogether as i am crazy about getting new devices and atomizers haha its a great hobby and keeps me off of other things i used to do as well that were a lot worse than cigarettes in some ways ha...

Have not made any plans to quit vaping. Gradually reducing the nic level, yes.
Right now, more content and satisfied that the "stinky monkey" is off my back (and the better half's also).
She has gotten down to the 12 mg nic level, and is talking about dropping down to 6. :toast:

All any of us can do is take it one day at a time,
setting our own goals. Not sure about the future, but it looks brighter than it did with the analogs.

Not really in a rush to have that same monkey climb back aboard.
Yes we do have to keep an eye on the time and $$$ for our new hobby, but this hobby sure appears to be healthier,
and a heck of a lot of fun. :)

I too have addictive personality. As far as I'm concerned have been on nicotine since before birth as I'm pretty sure my mom smoked while preg. Back in the 50s cig smoking wasn't condemned even for the pregos like it is now. I was thinking maybe by the end of this year I could get onto nicotine gum and get off the vaping. Now (already) thinking, well heck, I could just cut way down on the nicotine in vaping and still get on the gum thus extend my new found joy in vaping.

No plans to quit vaping ever. Quitting smoking was entirely accidental, but the health benefits were immediate and profound ...

I quit drinking 22 years ago, that's enough self-sacrifice for one lifetime ...

Nicotine keeps me calm and alert at work, and helps me to relax at home ...

Apparently there's nothing new about nicotine use ...

I plan on not planning. :)

I know for others it's more complex than just the nicotine but my experience is that for me, it's the nicotine. I am a nicotine addict. The only "cessation" products that ever even remotely worked were NRT. But always the "step down and quit" part was the problem. Long as I got my nicotine, I was okay. Try to "step down and stop", I went back to smoking. Like clockwork. Went into nicotine withdrawal every time and it was always bad. Really bad. I are hooked. Big time.

So unless they invent some new thing that "cures" addiction, I won't be stopping.

Funny thing, actually, I was seriously thinking of attempting to transfer the addiction to the gum when I ran into vaping. Not "try to quit" with the gum, just move the addiction from smoking to the gum. I gave up some time ago on the idea I could quit nicotine. Short of some new medical advance, that just ain't happening.

Plan to quit vaping? After finally and successfully quitting a 30 year smoking habit for the first time... that would be no.

This^^^ I'm new (three weeks in) to the vaping world and now that I've purchased a quality machine I'm in agreement to this statement. Maybe eventually I'll quit vaping but just the fact of not buying cigarettes everyday is a joy let alone the $ saved... :toast:

My original long term plan was to get to zero nicotine and stop vaping. I am only a few months into this and have decreased my nicotine from 24 mg to 15-12 mg. I have now decided to take my time, get to zero nicotine and see what happens. I have realized part of the addition is the oral fixation of having something in my mouth to suck on and getting that great throat hit (do not mean to sound crude but not sure how to explain that part of the addition). So I think only time will tell for me.
