Just curious cause I have noticed that I don't crave as much nicotine as I used to when I smoked. What I mean is that I don't get a craving as often as I would smoking since I'm using 12mg nicotine. When I smoked I would smoke half a cig and save the rest for like an hour later but since I vape it could be almost 2 hours before I would crave nicotine again.

vaping nicotine is a whole different animal than cigarettes as the article discusses the ammonia used in cigarettes act as a carrier for the Nic and thereby magnifying its effect.....So basically once you are off the cigarettes the cravings are minimized

Also...

Nicotine is only one of a number of tobacco alkaloids.
Some of the other alkaloids are actually MAOIs that act in conjunction with nicotine.

Nicotine alone, without those MAOIs, is widely considered to be less addictive.
Some even dispute whether nicotine alone is addictive at all.
