New to vaping and need to know if it is bad for you ?

If you live in California they seem to test everything and find everything causes cancer.

Whether it is bad for you has not been proven one way or the other, as far as I know. But look at it this way. Smoking is for sure BAD for you. No If And's or Buts about it.

Two year vaper here. I'm feeling much better than when I was smoking and my doctor approves of the change. I smoked for 37 years :p

OTOH, research on vaping is going on all the time and new things are still being discovered. People have been vaping since 2007 and I know of nothing bad that has happened to anyone yet. Still, doing your own research is a great idea ;)

I been researching for months on vaping and found nothing bad.
But that's the big debate people against Vaping say theres not enough research done.
Which in most cases they mean (we can't figure out how to steal (tax) the money being made of Vaping).

But I see it this way, Smoking = Death we know that has been proven.
People have been Vaping for years with no problems.
I will take my chances.

I would bet if a big tobacco or Pharmacal Company would of invented Vaping the FDA would say it was Safe.
And if the new laws get passed all you have to do is kick in a cold $10,000,000 and the FDA will say it is safe.

vaping is a reduced harm alternative to smoking....i look at it this way, with smoking i have a certain painful death coming. with vaping i have an incredible amount of energy, can breathe without wheezing, i also no longer stink of smoke as well as the benefits to my pets and home/vehicles and it has become a great hobby.

i also find a great deal of satisfaction in helping others improve their own lives by giving up cigs.

i was a 40 year smoker and held the hand of my mother and my sister when they died of lung cancer. due to vaping i feel i have a future.

is that what you wanted to know? best of luck. :vapor:

BTW: that is a Great Question that all new to Vaping should ask. :)

Just be careful where and who you buy your juice off of. If it don't say or the owners / juicemaker won't tell me what's in thier juice I won't Vape it.

Is vaping proven to be 100% safe? No. Are there any documented cases of cancer attributable to vaping? No. Would I ever recommend a non-tobacco user start vaping? Nope. But it's a much safer alternative that has helped a whole lot of people drastically reduce or quit tobacco use and that's a well-known cancer time bomb. Read the studies (not BS media hack jobs by people who've never even seen an ecig up close but the real studies), educate yourself, and make your own decision about what's right for you. If you don't who will?

So you decided to come on a vaping forum and start a thread, just to ask that question? Have you consulted your doctor or your national health agency? Have there been published reports of vaping causing cancer?

That's obvious. But no one knows the effects of vaping and the question asked should be directed at a doctor...not members of a forum on the internet

;)

See my first post. Starting a thread like this with this title has big "alarm bells" going off IMO.

Based on the many positive studies already done on vaping and the fact that millions have been vaping for 7+ years now without issues, whatever "effects" vaping might have on a person, is small in comparison to other behaviors/exposures humans encounter in their lives.
