i do like the riva so far. i like the price, the amount of vapor, and the battery life. what I'm not liking about it so far is the size (which down line, i will most likely decide to go performance over looks) and i really want an automatic battery. my struggle now is, do i want something that im going to love the look and feel of but have to sacrifice performance? or do i want something that might be a little bulky and funny looking, but vapes alot better? AHH DECISIONS DECISIONS!

i see everyone saying all over the place that they wish they wouldn't have started with the minis, but i think i might be too hard-headed to acknowledge the warning! :p

I really like the KR808D1.Very popular model.......Also have an E-9 that works great. Just not as common..
Both use cartomizers and produce great vapor. I have found that vapor production is dependent on your liquid more than anything.
I love Welcome litecigusa.com - BlueHost.com
Great prices and customer service..
I also advise manual batteries. What I have found with the autos is they do not hit as well all the time.
I would say you need 2 batteries for sure., A USB charger and an AC charger. And lots of carts. I also use a USB passthrough for the 808 and let me tell you...WOW this this is amazing vapor production is crazy and flavor is even better. only draw back is a computer USb port will not power it. (Requires 5 volts)..Had to buy a AC to USB and a Cigg lighter to USB..But with those it is AWESOME.... For E-juice I say 100% Welcome to Tasty Vapor AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME

Get both. Get an ego and a 510. Parts (except the charger) are interchangeable.

Use the ego for heavy duty vaping. Use the 510 when you're out and about and want to look dashing!

Seriously, you can get both kits for about $60

From madvapes, you can order a 510 battery, eGo battery (when they get them back in stock), 510 USB charger, eGo USB charger, 5 pack of cartomizers, one 510 atomizer, a five pack of cartridges, and a 30 ml bottle of menthol tobacco liquid for approximately $63 including shipping. Unless you need a wall adapter to charge in a regular 110 V outlet, that is all you'd need for both performance, and style. Of course, if you want a pack charger too, it will cost you $25 more. You could add the pack charger (PCC), a 110v adapter, and a car adapter (for charging on the go), and still come in just under $100.

Hey SweedishFish....have you needed to replace any of your batteries in that 6 months?..... I can only hope my Riva batts last that long.

I had to replace my passthrough. My Mom had to replace one Riva battery on hers.

Nope, they're still going strong and I use dual coil cartos which can be a battery killer I've heard.

i thought they were the same thing??

This is really confusing. the 510 refers to the battery connection. Ego is a larger 510 battery. You can get a regular 510 which is a mini or the ego which is the large battery.

I got very confused on here when people were talking about 510's and egos. When people talk about the Riva, they usually mean the Riva with the big battery.

Also, when I bought my Joye ego, there was a 6 month warranty on their batteries. So technically my batteries are still under warranty. For like a day or so. Pretty good, huh?

WOW I am impressed.... that gives me hope that the enormous sums of money I have chosen to spend on my new hobby will subside in time. I am about to try some dual coils soon... havent tried em yet, just boge 2.0 and 3.0 on the carto front as of yet.

I have a 1000 mah battery that I use the dual coils on. Sometimes I use them on my old Joye batteries but usually on the 1000 mah. I don't like all my juice on the dual coils. My fruit juice that's 60pg/40 tasts sort of flat with the dual coil. My other juice that I vape is PG and that's great in a dual coil.

MadVapes came out with dual coils just for the ego. If you get the clear dual coils it's a breeze to clean them.

IMO you should give up on the on the little cigarette looking automatic batteries before you buy them. You'll 99% not like them. I wish I had been on this forum and read and heeded the collective wisdom before I bought little batteries (auto and manual) that quickly got given away. I would have saved a bunch of $

It's your life, buba, you do whatchya want. I'll try to swing by and let you hit my riva a couple times. I have a few friends with the mini style(s) (blue, 510, kr808, etc) and after they hit mine, they want to upgrade.

I went with performance first because I was quiting, and dam it, I wasn't goning to quit quiting. I'm not a quiter. er, i am.... you know what i mean. Anyway, i needed to make sure it would be good enough to kick the analogues.
BTW, my Riva 510 batteries are slowly dying. Took 3 months of 2 batteries per day, 3-6ml per day, chain vaping, and heavy vaping. I'm now on to building my first mod!, and it will probably be something similar to this

Also, as far as the manual vs automatic: I believe most people are afraid of or steer away from manual batteries out of the novelty of that concept; that option is not available in an analogue cigarette (they aren't use to the idea). And, please, do not be offended if you like auto's, there is nothing wrong with them if they work for you, I was just trying to point out why manuals are immediately seen as weird or less than optimal for a new vaper.

Anyway, I gotta run out today, I'll see if i can swing by, and if you're working.
