a parallel on one side and a parallel on the other side is a quad coil set up..... its 4 coils working independantly .... so the ohms will be as 4 single coils...

No its not, how long have you been building. 4 single separate coils is a quad coil, which mikey don't do because its way to hot. seriously bunny you need to do some research and look on google or ask a pro builder every now and then.

Jdake... you just crossed the line... do you have an education in Electrical Engineering? or even Mechanical Engineering?... do you even know Kirchoffs law or even ohms law? From the information you have shown from the previous posts show you have neither nor do you understand the theory behind Kirchoffs or Ohms laws...
If you had enuf background in either of the 2 laws mentioned you would not be bantering back and forth with me on who is right on this topic....

get an education on the topic at hand and then we will discuss the theory in more detail... you may just see what Im talking about and understand the differences in opinion between dual parallel and quad single coils as far as resistance values the battery sees..........

Please, OP, disregard this guy. It's already been clearly stated that it can potentially be dangerous for you to build your own coils without some way of measuring your resistance.

If it were my first build, I would not be using a mech mod, I would be using something higher than 26ga, I would have a way to measure my resistance, and I would hopefully know better than to take this advice (1/16in and 1/8in are wildly different sizes; 8 wraps of 26ga on each would net you .35ish and .6ish ohms respectively, but the person I'm quoting has no idea).

Build at you own risk. If you have a short, or your leads improperly secured, you risk venting your battery and harming yourself, in addition to ruining your hardware.

Play with the coil building calculator at steam-engine.org until you have some means of checking your resistance. If you don't understand how it works, you need to do some HW before you touch that atomizer.

none of those laws has anything to do with what coils are named, they are called what they are called, science has nothing to do with it

because I dont have time to read all of the 90 posts and everyone seems to take the attitude that if it was said a certian way thats the way it is...

just like every one steeps their juice.... steeping is the wrong term to use when aging a juice, steeping requires a solid to be in the juice to extract flavor from ( as in you steep tea due to the solids of tea leaves in the fluid).... one ages juice since there is no solid in it ( like one ages wine) so in effect you also have been lead astray by the common terminology wrongfully attributed due to the lack of thinking ..........

i don't give a crap about juice, what are those coils names? id like to hear your "opinion"
The terminology isnt wrong when it comes to coils, they all have established names.
Except you and only you want to change what they are called. why is that?
