:offtopic:

Every time I come here I wonder how the books coming along.
Finally finished yeah. I don’t even know what it’s about.

If it’s about how your dog is better than people then I’m on board :thumb:

Kidding as always. Let’s not start that again...

Also, I wanted the rams to do it but they are playing so :censored:

LOL the book is finished. But, it's terrible . I waited the requisite oh, 4 weeks or so and I was like, "Yes, there may be merit to finishing a project to the end, and doing your LEVEL best to make it work, but there is also merit to UNDERSTANDING that sometimes, despite one's fervent desire to the contrary, it also SUCKS."

So it's finished, I'm just not going to make anyone read it. Oh, sure I could shove it up on Amazon etc., but if it has to be discovered, maybe after I am DEAD. I've always hated Emily Dickinson. Etc.

I mean, Fifty Shades of Grey has to be better than this book. But, I finished it so onward and upward and all that, back to real life. I have always wanted to write a book.

Next time (oh God here's hoping not) my desire needs to be "I've always wanted to write a GREAT book."

My first beloved therapist got it, she knew how fervent my desire was, and it's all good.

Except the book. It's not good. LOL.

Anna

So, I quit smoking during it, and started vaping. That's no mistake. Heh.

Is that the synopsis/blurb?
Is the book about a disgruntled and disappointed author writing a book?

Ah well, you’ll never know if you never try.
I feel the same way about my attempts at playing piano

Maybe I’ll skip straight to the sequel ;)

I make all the books in our local library a mystery by ripping the last page out of all of them:blink:.

If so, I am pleased that you live in southern hemisphere. Please don't come north, we have sufficient crazies and our quota is full.

I hope you attempting humor, these days one rarely knows.

Oh God, that's awful. My heart hurt a little bit when I read that.

I'm an excellent READER I was English lit in college and I used the library all the time when I was poor. I still do sometimes....

I so hope you are joking.

Hmm, okay, a dumb vape mistake, not locking my legend in the car and taking a puff, in the dark. It had gone up to its maximum.

Worst dry hit I EVER got, and the coil was so burned when I went to change it, it wasn't reading.

Poor little thing.

It was really hard to maintain control of the car, actually.

Lol
The most reading of late for me has been the antics of most vapers.

I am beginning some Greek mythology but if I get to the last page and some dude tore it up then I’ll need cigarettes for sure

Let you reading public determine "terribleness"; there are a bunch of people on here that like your writing, often whimsical, frequently off topic, generally stream of consciousness, humorous, at times most enlightening. Publish under a "nom de plume" if shy (I almost choked using that word "shy" to describe you).

I'm glad it was a joke.

To be honest that book is NOTHING like my writing here. I think that might be the problem to be honest. You just should be yourself. But writing has certain conventions and etc.

I should print it out, read it again, and if it sucks, just write it the way I want to but I have like, no time. LOL.

Lol dude. I’m from the UK

Sarcasm (being the highest form of wit) is something I’ve grown up with and adopted.

I get you @Cynophobe

Ps. Do you have an irrational fear of dogs?

I meant to stop by here and offer up my dumbest dumas act of my vape career before this, but whatevs. I'm here now.

Baking lessons, by KD (taken from a post written in June, 2012. The discussion was about karto cleaning, drying etc.) Enjoy~

"I baked cartos once. I've baked cookies many times. My cookies have always come out much tastier than my cartos...

I put a few dozen boiled cartos on a fairly nice baking sheet. Left them alone and I have no clue what the oven temp was. (old oven... long story) I came back to find that most of them had shed their little black skins which were then GLUED to the baking sheet. It was so much fun to clean that mess up...

I have also used the fan method. (stick the little guys in the slots of a fan)

I have tried Taryn spinning with my own home made spinner (you'll love this one, Blu... a piece of the cardboard from a dry cleaner coat hanger, punched and tied with shoe laces). It's a lot of fun to spin, and amuses the 4-legged children.

Reidus, after quite of bit of vape time, I would suggest not cleaning cartos. The filler will shrink with the boil and the drying methods are more time consuming than the effort. At the price of cartos, , , toss them. They are always and invariably better when new and freshly filled.

But if you must, do try the Taryn spin. May the (centrifugal) force be with you."

Did James Joyce follow convention and etc?

Nope, he did not. I started writing it in the second person voice. That doesn't work, now I have an unreliable narrator who also sees all knows all but is frequently wrong.

Okay, maybe that part isn't bad. LOL.

Anna

Different take on the omniscient narrator - go for it. Salinger broke a model or two in the 1951
