Yes - I made a mold of my favourite pipe shape and pressed the putty into that. Here's a test piece sprayed up with some PU varnish - it's coming up very nicely, I think...

Thanks...slopes....wow....so many questions?????

Are you going to make those with a smoking bowl? http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/366280-not-pipe.html

Now that video is sooooooo kool. I am quite humbled in the presence of such crafters. First question...How the heck did you get all that in such a small package??? LOL. I am really interested in how you done the touch switch and what components you used if I may ask. That is so awesome.

inganeer - I used Raidy's touch switch design with Scubabatdan's component's. It's very fiddley to do though.

duckie_44 - I'm still figuring out how these epoxy bowls will be used. ;)

Duckie...I used a concho that I got from Hobby Lobby (same place I picked up the clay). I made mine blue and white and had a US Air Force concho for my days gone by. I made one that is green and black (kinda like camo) with a US Army concho for a retired Army brother. I'll get a pic on here later. I think I'm gonna stay with the auto switch. It allows me to charge the 18350 with a regular ego-style 510 charger...

...Boom...

Thanks ...Boom...I have used a few of those concho's myself......Hobby Lobby....One of my favorite places to go, and it is right close to Ace Hardware...

I bet that auto switch will be fine...(madvapes?).. The only negative thing I have heard is you can't go much lower than 2.0 with it...

One more question....Did you press fit, or use some kind of threading on your cap? The reason for asking...i have auto switch I am going to be useing on pipe in the future....

duckie...........
P.S. will be looking for you pictures of the other pipe.....

How did you do your board to fit into the pipe or did you you assemble and wrap everything? I have to so try this in a pipe. In fact I bought a ugly pipe on eBay to make a 18500 powered pipe out of that just got volunteered for this project. I haven't been this stoked about a project in some time....LOL

No board - I soldered all the components together pretty much like in the Scubabatdan thread. It's the devil's own task trying to fit all the bits into a ready-made pipe (although, if yours is bigger it may be easier). One neat thing about making epoxy pipes is that it can be moulded in two halves - and then all the elements fitted into one half before the two are glued together.

I hope this helps.

Well, I created a nice little duct tape pipe(ill post pictures later) Mainly just bored waiting on supplies to make one a little more classy. Also in the middle of a move so truly not rushing you on the drawing. I'm also assuming that the hole where you placed the furniture fitting is tapered, so it catches the spring and doesnt let it contact the metal? Agaian, no rush. I'm just so fascinated by your design.

Made My First set of prototypes, Basically I wanted to make something I could screw up on before trying to build one out of an expensive pipe. Boy am I glad I did, quite the learning experience.
20130329_142759.jpg
Used the Youtube video for basic idea and parts, but I didn't like how he soldered to the battery, so I modded an ego battery tube. This also was not the best idea, doesn't leave a clean look as you can see. so for my next one I will be using a magnetic cap. also realized that having the electronics inside the connector limits how deep you can put the connector into the tube also limits the length of the stem, I could always get some long drip tips but I have read they can effect the vapor. So I guess the overall theme is more parts you can make yourself the better.

My scrap metal/duct tape e-pipe! lol, you truly can make one out of anything.

So, I used a 2 dollar aluminum pill fob from a local pharmacy. Actually have em to carry spare 18350 on my key ring. They house a battery perfectly as they come. For the mod, I cut the bottom out and drilled a small hole in the side, for my positive pin connection.
SAM_0094_zps9f3823b9.jpg

The small metal strip is part of a hollowed out ego battery. That serves is my negative connection. As the tube is still connected to the ego 510 threading.
The pill fob and the bottom metal connection is insulated by the bottom of a 10ml juice bottle that was razor blade'ed to perfection.
SAM_0097_zps6f4bbc9a.jpg

The center pin is an old broken aga-t positive post and a spare nut ground down to fit appropriately and placed inside the ego/510 connector.

SAM_0100_zps00fad1d4.jpg

The opposite side of the aga-t post(now my center pin) attaches to the hole drilled in the pill fob.
SAM_0092_zps8e3086d8.jpg

For the switch, I drilled a hole in the already existing pill fob lid. Then used an air passage "center pin" from a old ce2 for the switch "shaft". Harvested a spring out of a bic pen and cut it in half and wedged it into the pill fob lid to secure it. Due to the recession in the pill fob lid, it hovers over the battery. until forced down.

Then wrapped it all in black duct tape to hold everything together. Also screwed a 5ml dct ego cone on to the ego threading before taping, to match the aga-ts' diameter better.

So yep it works

comes with 0.6v drop, woot. not too shabby for make shift.

Nice work everyone... i have several epipes...but have been finding myself really wanting to find more unique pipes or conversions. Same goes for custom drip tips stems.

I wish there were more epipe talk, and epipe makers. Lots to do

i have:
-Epipemods Mjolnir (18350)
-EpipeMods CSquared (18650)
-EpipeMods Ergo (18350)
-CockneyRebel conversion (18350)
-Mycroft Ropp-Hors (18350)

Id really like to find another one, maybe a conversion job.

Anyone got the skills? I have a few pipes id love converted if someone was up for it.

Also...what atomizers are all of you using??

Don't let this thread die, there is so much cool stuff in it! Duckie your pipes are amazing!

-Sam

I agree with you Sam....I think you are like me, and other people in this pipe cult, mention pipe and we have just have to look....

But until ECF gives us our own sub-forum, it will be like herding cats, finding our fix on pipe stuff.....

Right now for anyone who doesn't know, but is interested, there is a ongoing thread in the APV Discussion>Pipe talk - All makes and designs (more about commercial made pipes, but still pipes)....And there is a great thread in Battery Mods>Making an E-Pipe...by Mstr Mashnst, which is great reading on modding a tobacco pipe.... also "Boom" had a nice show and tell on his "Clay pipe".....I apologize for leaving anybody out.....You know who you are....

duckie.......

P.S. Thanks Sam for the "Mentioned in dispatches".......

Hi, I want to build my own pipe because all comercially available pipes are to large, like the 601.
I have an excellent cartomiser pipe from TECC but again to large for 'all day' use.
The 'Mikropipe' (just the right size) is no longer available to me due to some problems with the supplier.
I am resident in the UK.
Can anyone point me to where I can purchase ego- C- 510 parts to build my own pipe?

For anyone that doesn't remember......This is the question that started this thread...on 11/03/12....56 replies....3174 views ago.....

I feel like we all jumped on the train, and left TJJ standing in the station.......TJJ..... did you get your question answered? I hope you did...

Thank you for starting this great Thread........

I just finished up that pipe build today. Next one I'll put in this forum section. For my first try I'll take it.:D

Really man its not that hard to covert, however the deeper the bowl the better, most can be made with a soldering iron dremel and hand drill.
But anyway I run smoktech 1.5 ml with bodge 1.8 ohm cartos. Keeps a slender profile and I don't have to be dripping all the time.
