I got the clear/white LED switch with the 5 click on/off feature. Yay!

But Ive been using it about a week with SR stuff and I'm only getting 4 to 5 hours run time on a battery. At the same time it's taking forever for either battery to charge - 6 hours or longer. You can see an obvious problem there. I have had to drop back to my eGo more than once this week when I've had 1 dead battery and the other still in the charger. I'm a pretty light vaper too.

Occasionally the switch seems to give off a false rapid flash warning. After it does that the battery may still be good for a couple more hours. One battery was good when I went to bed and was dead this morning - repeated rapid flashes about 5 times and then just nothing after that.

The batteries that came in the kit have the blue wrap with black lettering "SMOKTECH 14650 1050 mAh"

Any idea what's going on here? What should I be getting out of these batteries for run times?

And if I need to start checking voltages on either the batteries or the charger with a DMM what am I looking for?

Help!

I have an epower 14650 with a Blue Switch and I had the same issues you had with the batteries / switches. First I was getting false rapid fires and then a seemingly dead battery. Andrew at CCV had me stretch the spring so that there was about one half of an inch of the battery protuding from the tube before you screwed on the switch. That seemed to be good for a couple of weeks and then I started to experience the second problem you describe, worse than expected battery life and specifically going to bed with a pretty good charge on the unit and then waking up to a dead epower (battery almost zero on my multimeter).

I have no way to verify this but I can only think that somehow the switch is drawing some current from the battery even when the button is not depressed. What I have been doing is unscrewing the switch mechanism from the tube if I am not going to be using it for a while. That seems to work but is a bit of a PITA.

Unfortunately, I ordered a couple of backup switches from CCV before Christmas (still waiting to receive them) before I saw that there were issues with the LR cartomizers with the white button switch. Since all of my cartos are either CCV 1.7's or their dual coils I think I'm going to be SOL with those new switches.

Mine came with a copper spring in the tube and the battery is already protruding 3/8" inch without modifying it. It takes what seems to be an appropriate amount of force to hold the button assembly down while screwing it in place.

I just went through this scenario: Got about 3 hours run time and then got nothing but rapid flash warnings every time I hit the button. I was ready to swap batteries... and then unscrewed the switch and screwed it back on again. Everything has been behaving normally now for over an hour since I did that.

It's making me wonder if there is something wonky in this switch design, giving false positives for a low battery condition that isn't there.

Looks like it's time to find my DMM and see what the battery is measuring every time it gives of a low battery warning.

Not happy so far.

Of course, I thought I'd done enough research on the E-Power - watched a ton of video reviews, read a ton of posts, literally weeks of research - but then I find this thread AFTER I just ordered an E-Power kit from CCV. :(

Wonder what switch I'll get and if it will eat batteries.

...you should receive the white switch and the new, HD gold plated springs...Andrew at CCV is a stand-up guy, if you have ANY problems with it CALL HIM(emails are hit/miss) and he will take care of you...if you just ordered it, you might call and ask about the switch and which one you will get.........

I just got my epower from ccv about a week ago. So you will be getting the hard white button. There will also be a gold plated spring to replace the stock spring, unless they are switching them out before shipping now

You may get lucky with your switch, I have so far. Not even once a day now I have to unscrew the battery and tighten it back down to get it to work. I may have a miss fire or two. But nothing major. And that is using the ressurectors only. I do carry and recommend carrying a spare cartomiser that is 2ohm or above just incase the switch were to fail tho.

I hope yours works out for you. And there is a link with a site that still carries the blue swich somewhere, and mynameisrob has said the suppliers believe they will be getting new white switches that will fix this problem soon.
