You're right. My mouth does not know the difference between heat and shinola. Thankfully my mouth has nothing to do with how fast the coil gets hot.
You could be right again. I had forgotten that dead electrons are resurrected as shinola.That or it could be dead electrons hitting your lips that feels like heat.
Nope and my order is still "processing".
COV updated their website. Now they're saying they'll have them Friday (8/20).
I knew it, not knocking cov, i knew no one was getting them , they didnt send tracking and they where still testing the ceramics.
i was suppose to have a smaller order go out first with newest plastic but i think that also got held for ceramics so im cool with that. i rather wait and get ceramics and have them test em then rush and get partial plastic and partial ceramics.
Well poot. My E2 with the narrow slits began leaking. It will hold about 8 or 10 drops ok, but anything more than that will leak. It's still a great dripping machine, but I can no longer call it a cartomizer. Has anyone else had this problem?
Not yet. How many days/refills did you get out of it?
It's leaking out of the battery end?
same here, depends how bad the slits widened do to warping.
this shouldnt happen with the ceramics.
I began using it 3 days ago. It's been refilled a good number of times. I don't know how many, because I have also been testing the Shorty. It's leaking into the battery fitting. It is a slurpy if I drip too much in it.
I am not putting enough in it to get up to the slits, or even to the bottom of the cup. I don't think it is wicking too much, which could also cause the same type of leak.
That doesn't seem to be the case, bad. For your sake, I just then ran a test.
I removed it from the battery and filled it to the bottom of the cup. I blew it out to make certain that the air passage was clear. I stood it upright on my glass top desk and let it set there for a few minutes. I did not see any liquid on the glass at that time, but a gentle blow through it let me know that a small amount was in the passage. About ten minutes later there is a small puddle on the glass when I pick it up. There is less liquid inside now and the air passage is clear when I blow through it. The coil looks damp, but not wet. I put it back on the battery and it vapes like crazy.
This E2 has small slits that have not been modified. There does not appear to be any distortion. The slits look to have the same width as new.

That sounds like it's leaking around the bottom seal where the tube connects. Either that or it's wicking up to the cup and dripping through the air hole, but that doesn't sound likely.
ok, i see what your saying, now then would the nest logical thing be the space where the cup sits on to the stem, since we are aware that the cup does slide upwards if we pull it, well maybe juice is seeping into there .
its not like the glue they where using is holding the cup in place, it seems to pop right off, they did say they fixed that witht he ceramics but thats moot right now.

Sounds like the older plastic cups were just press-fit on the stems. Hope they attach the ceramic ones better (without using GLUE).
Banjo and Bad. I was already investigating these two possibilities before I made my post about the leaking.
For the time being I come closer to believing that the bottom seal is the guilty culprit. The metal stem goes up inside the plastic tube all the way to the bottom of the cup. The liquid leaked below this point while it was sitting on the desktop. BTW, this cartomizer did not have any glue on the ring and cup.
About the only thing else I have to go on right now is the parts from the autopsy of the #1 cartomizer. On this one, the metal stem and plastic tube of the cup is a nice firm fit. I don't believe it could leak, even without glue, which didn't do anything to begin with. Snot would have held better. It was all over the filler ring and cup, and the ring came out just as easy as one without it. This was before any juice had been put in it. The glue(?) had one good thing about it though. Bits of it floated out of the juice while I was vaping it and I did not taste it.
As for a push fit between the stem and tube, that should not be a problem. My juice is not very thick, but it will stay in a 1/2 filled reservoir while the cartridge is laying on its side. It doesn't seem likely that it could seep through a firm push fit.
About the stuff in the bottom. The surface was not very hard when I first picked at it. At that time, there was still traces of my juice still there. I picked at it about an hour ago and it seems harder now that it has dried out for a few days. So, I don't know. I don't like it. Everything there is metal. Seems like a no lead solder might work in its place. But then, I don't know anything about the stuff that's there. It is not Spock's nature to make guesses and I should not make them either.
