yes, its a mix of primer and inital wick burning. almost like a actual atomizer on its first use, once you get through it , its amazing.

i noticed by popping out the inner plugs and vaping for a minute it gets to that point much faster.

How long did it take you to get past the initial primer/wick flavor?

took like a good minute, then it tapered off, then i pulled out plugs to use my drip tip and then it started to shine right away, but in total it took a few minutes to get it all gone.

From the look of things, there is nothing that says disposable about these things, with the ceramics and robust coil these are just like atomizers, use em till they die. ok ok im really off to sleep now. bye

This one is vaping so well that i cant stop back to back vaping it and now im high as hell.

If they perform well, they will sell like hotcakes. Its all good.

The "premium" carto has arrived, even if it costs a bit more.

i wanted to quickly test something, so i opened a new one, it had primer, so what i did was dry burn the primer, then i washed the carto out well, flicked it dry and dry burned it until coil where glowing and until it smelled clean form any wick smell.

filled it up and its been full juice flavor in every drag and is performing incredibly with long long drags as well.

The ceramic looks incredible, sturdy as hell. The inner plug is soft like the old oring but shaped like the old inner plug but better and makes refilling a breeze.

you can pull out the inner cap and replace it with ease as well and its see through so guiding it back is a breeze.

That sounds like a real good improvement!

So am I correct in thinking that an E2 510 XL carto @ 2.6ohms is going to perform the same as a regular E2 510 carto?

Just more juice capacity,

To be honest, I don't know.

My previous effort with the E2 was the LR/LV 808D-1 configuration.. which came in at about 2.4-2.5Ω (based on my samples). They had plastic cups and the coil was substantially "tighter" than these. I wasn't all that impressed with those (still have about 55 of them left!).

To be sure.. these are "different". I've got the wife-unit trying them with TV-AC (Tasty Vapor Atomic Cynacide) and I am using them with my daily-vape old-standard ECOpure based liquid.

One of them has already hit the circular file due to tasting like feet. But I haven't formulated a full opinion on them yet.

When you have had a chance to evaluate them I would be curious to hear what You think of them. I feel you will give an Unbiased opinion of them Good or Bad.

I've learned a lot on here from ya'll and wanted to say thank you for all the info ya'll have been sharing on the 510 XL E2 cartomizers.. Finally decided to order them today cause of ya'll and it sounds like I will be one happy person when I get them!!

THANK YOU for sharing your experiences with them :)

You can sometimes add a thing or two, without raising the zone based fee shipping that much, if any. I hope you got to try different things in your shopping cart.

So now that I have had more time to play with them I will make some sugestions,

The ones I got had a definate residue on them from the machining process I am guessing

This crap NEEDS to be washed off. I successfully burned the primer off of one but not the second (after two battery swaps it still tasted like crap)

To achieve this I followed Badloko's advice and pulled all three plugs out. From there I washed it in warm water rinsing three or for times. Finally I soaked it in vodka for probably 15 minutes.

I dry burned it for 30 seconds and then filled. This took away all the priming fluid taste and allowed the juice flavors to come through.

Final thought is the butterscotch flavor from E-Liquid tastes like crap so that added to my flavor issues.
