So last night I grabbed my last carto from my 5 pack to try another flavor. When I popped off the filler cap, I saw that it appeared already filled with some type of brown liquid. Now, my previous cartos had what appeared to be brown liquid in the wick, but this one looked like it was full of the stuff when I looked around the sides of the cup. I had assumed this was the primer being talked about, but now after reading more recent posts I'm not so sure. Any idea what the heck this stuff was? It had a really strong smell, almost smelled like my RY4 liquid. I just rinsed it out real good before using it, but now I'm wondering if it's primer or something else. I don't think any of my cartos had a completely white wick even from the start.

Ah, ok. In that case I'm sorry you shorted "Shorty". Hope he's ok. ;)
This is Shorty with the combination mouthpiece and filler ring removed:

I am vaping with him right now while typing this post.

if it smelled like ry4 then is it possible they sent one with ry4 prefilled, i tasted there ry4 and its close but not the ry4 most are used to and is slightly brown in color not overly brown.

primer is clear so i doubt its primer if its brownish.

I mentioned the thread issue and they will take a closer look at production and find the fault and fix it for future production.

Also I mentioned the ohm issue on the 510 xl.

they are going to do something a little different, soon there will be an option to choose your specific ohm for whatever e2 you choose with a few ranges to choose from:toast:

*Looks for the dropdown option for "primer / No Primer"*

I'm guessing they are adding the Primer for shelf life reasons.

What does the primer smell like?

when wet like nothing but when burning away it has a smell, not sure how to describe it, if you used atomizers then its the same smell when removing primer off of those.

you can wash it off, you can dry burn it off or both.

not all have it but i was able to get passed the primer on all i tested by dry burning first.

So its definitely not PG/VG/PEG?

nope its not

if oyu have a new 510 atomizer laying around, use tweezers and pull out the wick under the bridge, it should be wet, burn that and smell it and thats what is .

I'll check my KR808 XL Carto's tomorrow and let u know.
Gotta wait another 15 hours because the Post Office thought it would be funny to hold the package there overnight
