Kent, chances are that you got the non r4 attempts, yours is probably the r3 or the 'almost r3'
____
Quick1, nicotime melted the glue, I did wonder if it's high temp silicone, but he melted it seemingly easy (we guess) and said it's hot glue

now about the hairspray, I think it was an ecf lady in another thread perhaps, she said it tasted like hairspray, you know, that stuff they put on the wick hairs sometimes?

:( this makes one feel sorry for her

Who says that stuff is bad? I agree that with these people it could just be some random material but even so, how can you declare it horrible with no clue as to what it is? Maybe non-burnable (by orange load essence) wick material and high-temp silicone? that would be great.
You also once posted about silicone and alcohol, I thought, do you mean alcohol like the one epople vape? or the one people rub? and is high temp silicone ok with the one that people put in cartos?

Ok, well the filler material I did state is not bad, it's just so thick and you don't need the wicks when you use that. It needs to be cylindrical, like a straw, and that way it's easily removable and replaceable. The material is therefore not bad, just sloppy and poor quality craftmanship, if this is what they used to test a Lipton mod, then they even failed at testing properly.

Same production date... I'm just going by what nicotime said Linda said about the date.

The production date refers more to the cardboard box and the sticker than the carto inside of them, it seems
A similar thing happened around the 16th of June or July or something like that

Rubbing alchohol and lanolin are two things that are not kind to silicone. It was in reference to someone using rubbing alchohol to clean their adapters which use silicone to insulate the center positive from the negative thread outer.

I don't know Linda so.... whatever. I'm guessing it will either be like Patty's or nico's. Or maybe there's a 'third way'. lol

The filler, the glue and the whole design of THAT concerns me. Someone please tell me this is a farce created to discredit the E2 design...

You mean something like maybe some royal workers actually get paid by other manufacturers?
Even if there were, I thought QC in the production line was already brought up in the early R1 and R2

After it was brought up, then people in Canada and Australia got bad revisions sent to them, remember?

maybe each box needs a code traceable to the worker?
many U.S. companies do that, a product is stamped or coded by the worker him/her self.
But how would that help everyone who already got cartos with no guarantee?
Ultimately the carto boxes have such a stamp, and it says 'Royal Smokers' who branched out to microcig, e-liqui, ecig fair, and central trade something

Yea well I have 120 accidents...its definitely hot glue because I heated it and its hot stringy hot glue! The cup is glued on with it too!

I'm now caught up on this thread since I was last on today and wow...just wow...I hope you get this rectified. The pictures look horrific. My fear now is that we'll be wishing for the older designs when the r4's hit but I'm hoping for the best. I was excited earlier when 'bad' posted the picture. The ones you got obviously don't look like that.

I'm expecting an order from Vapor Junction any day and I will report what 'they' are.

I'm assuming one can see this 'fill' w/o cutting these apart? I know the base can't be seen w/o cutting but if I see this 'fill' I'll cut one up.

Look on the syringe, if it takes less than usual, it could have putty and stuff in it.
If you have a scale, also weigh them, and hopefully the bad ones will be found...all at
the expense of the one who bought them, probably :(

wouldn't we rather get 25 cartos when we order 30
rather than getting 25 and 5 of the wrong kind? I would.

oh ok, Quick1 thanks
and just what do you use, since you managed to stay away from the e4 attempts?

I just said that a few posts ago. Joye 510 cartomizers and Joye eGo cartomizers. At 3.7v... first time I've found something comparable to 6v. They just work and amazingly enough they all look the same. I'm thinking they must have used some other forum with better testers before selling them here :). I have no idea if they're burning up inside or not. Others don't think they are so thats good enough for me for now. Like I said, I'm waiting for the E2 r11 to come out through some local supplier who I will hire to order for me.

I need some ideas, and please don't tell me filler cartos,
Have you tried those new ones made by MicroCig? They're perfect (again).
they cost too much
I'm sure that gold, electrically connected center tubes, metal screw on/off tops, perfectly machined metal plugs, user serviceable/removable/replaceable coils and included genuine Lipton PTB kits will bring the cost right on down.
and half the time they don't work, and the other half they only work a short while
heh, they're working on that! all the testers are busy right now though. (I must have hit the lottery with my order).

I received an order from e-liquid on Saturday, they were the 3.5 rev with the notches in the filler cap. I opened 3 from 3 different boxes and didn't find any glue or any sort of filler. Here's a pic, I mangled the wire and the wick as all I had to cut with was a pipe cutter...

Same date 8/16/2010 on the box, would it really kill them to stick an updated sticker on the box?

..

wrong:)
but that's what I would like to wait for, the R12 built like that. I had stated before that I would like to just wait until the e2's are more expensive, I'm tired of people all over the world getting cheap junk when they order e2's, and even worse, not even knowing exactly what they get in their carto

anyway, the ego cartomizer is not good to me either it's $3 a piece like an R7 and leaky like an R2, so that leaves the 510 cartos, what are 2 U.S. suppliers that you would recommend please?
thanks
