Hi Turbo. What's your experience of the M40X E2's? Mine arrived today (not sure what version they are). Lots of vapour but no throat hit. :-( Any suggestions?

Mine is limited to the 3ohm 401 XL's and yeah, no throat hit. They do recommend 2.5ohms for the M series since the batt voltage is lower. 'banjo' on here has more experience w/ the M series E2's. He can elaborate if need be but it comes down to ohm's in my case.

The M-series I have here measure around 2.6 ohms. Not much throat hit but on a variable device like the Little Sister I get really good vapor and flavor at about 2.8v. At anything close to 3.7v they get too harsh for me, though.

You *can* mode these with PTB, but it's more difficult because the carto body is narrower. If you can get a few pieces in there beside the wick slots it improves the performance, especially at higher voltages.

Im back in heaven, using the tekmod variable. simply incredible. not worrying about what ohm the e2 is makes life so much sweeter.

knowing that it has 2 -18650 2200 mah batteries for days of use is just a massive bonus.

I still use the Little Sister with the older 510's. I never go above about 2.8v and the taste is fine. Not as good as a PTB'd XL, but pretty darn good.

So I just got my E2 xl 510 cartos today, so here is whats going on. I pulled it apart down to the little stopper thing with the two holes in it, I took my syringe and filled it with about 1.6 ml of juice and split it between the two holes, and tried to vape. All I got was this nasty flavor so I figured it may have the primer crap on it. I tried to dry burn it to see if I could get rid of the the nasty taste and that didn't work. So what is going on?

Hey Bad, are you still wroking on a carto mod? I am.. the whole ecig. The tekkeon and those seem nice but too large and costly for me, I am hoping to see something mode modular and small.

Did you try burning the primer off before filling or after?

Seriously, folks, I'm finding AAA batteries with about 1000mah (these are the 1.5 volt, but 2 of them at 3 volts might be enough for me). For example:

(CAUTION STATEMENT: Ecgis use lithium ion, and batteries are protected! These store batteries are not! be careful...)

Not all of them are lithium either, and the mah's vary, but I'm just talking about a standard size ecig.

Even the carto, if I can get the stem inside of the 3ml syringe (even if later I change to stainless steel the part around the cup), it seems to have plenty of room:

Or maybe the whole carto with connector, but without the stainless steel carto shell (or else install my own connector):

The swith can also be modular and easy to remove and replace, but I need to cut through a battery first,
I alsready started for a few minutes, but will need to finish that some other time. What I mean though, is to have the switch
component be even smaller than a standard 1ml carto, something like this

and then the batteries can go in a plastic tube as well, in a way almost like the way I have an air stem and cup inside a syringe tube above. The 2 AAA batteries would be easy to replace, and the whole thing would be small as an ecig. Has anyone done anything like this yet maybe?

___________

Turbo, the silicone plug seal is doing fine, I think it's better than nothing. I wish they didn't manufacture manual batteries with the auto-battery conectors.

The first one I filled I did it after the second one I did it before.

Ok, before is the way to go. Some rinse them out then dry burn. If you leave the filler ring in it can be hard to get water out though. I just dry burn; 10 second bursts until I don't see any smoke. That usually takes care of it.

Also; what ohm carto are you using and what device? Sometimes a mismatch in the two can give a nasty flavor.

I am using a ego XL and it says they are 2.5 ohm, and the second one I did, I dry burned it first and I didn't get any smoke off of it so I filled it and I am still getting the nasty taste. I also can't seem to get that filler ring off.

You'll need to be gently aggressive with getting the filler ring out. I take one tine of a pointed tweezer, put it down the center hole of the filler ring (tilted toward the inner side of the carto), and pry the ring out. Some folks have great success with a dental pick, but I don't have one of those, so my trusty tweezers have to suffice. I've found that tweezers are invaluable for many applications regarding vaping devices :)

Finally got it out, I just rinsed it a few times, now I am letting it dry out so I can see if that helped.
