after having the ptb mod installed and everything, is there any tips on how to not mess up the wicks when removing the ptbs for a dry burn? whenever i pull out the ptbs, sum of the wick comes off with it...

my wick at the coil lost its strings that way too, but I was cutting the wick.

I just threw it away and went to the next carto

yes, i was cutting the wicks also. exactly how badkolo did in his videos.

the ptb does work best when the wicks are cut, but unfortunately the wicks are too messy when cut,
for me I'm just going to use them out of the box, and get the 30pack deals for about $30

Well, I just got my package in. All the packaging production date says Aug. 16. Looks the same as Bad's pics above but no filler anywhere to be seen. Just fill one up and testing it atm. Enjoy

I know I'm a little slow, but why on earth do they have the bow tie wick. I'm certainly no engineer or physicist but it just seems counter productive. If I were some ejuice and got caught up on that merry-go-round I'd likely jump off before reaching the coil as well.

A question (or three).
Would those pipe rings which sop up the spittle in a pipe's bowl be worthwhile around the ceramic?
Would a pipe cleaner work OK as a ptb type fix?
Should unmarried crabs have little nippers?

I think about these things you know.

The Bow probably helps the wick to stay down at the bottom of the carto so it can wick properly when the juice is low.

OK. I don't find any difference with the R3 with these R4. They still leak from the top and bottom when you put it down horizontally. I would say, just live with it for its performance and go with the ptb mod to minimize the leakage..lol

edit: unless I got the R3.5 and not R4 as promised???

Do u have a filler ring of material between the ceramic cup and wall of the cartomizer?

nope. Its just like the pic badkolo posted minus the polyfill!

Actually waiting for mine as well from vaping.com they claim that they are r4 but we shall see....

the production date on the box is for thee juice and has nothing to do when the e2 was made
the r4 comes in 2 versions, some with afl(filler and sme without) but if your cup isnt covered and closed like that pic then its not a r4.

the r4 might come without the afl but then it should have them in the package so you can use it if you wish.

i dont know where you got yours but ill know what eliquid.cn sent tomorow since MY R4's are here

i even asked wife unit and she can't find a cover, and she has the "finding" plumbing

im finding that with the ptb i can go a days before any cleaning so i dont even need a cleaning, ill just chuck it out, but since these do last and can be reused and cleaned what i do is place a tiny flat head eyeglasses screwdriver into the slit, it fits snug and holds the wick in place as i pull out the ptb, you can also use a flat tweezers to hold the wick in place as well.

If anyone has any higher ohm E2's on order I'd like to know if they actually meter out to 3-3.2 ohms. Even the "3.7v" 808D cartos I received maxed out at 2.7 ohms.

And why don't they offer standard 510's in the 3-3.2 range?
