Why am I not surprised? Whatever you do don't place a second order while your first order is processing. It confuses them greatly.
I feel bad for ya, but I'm not surprised. If there's any justice in the world Heaven-gifts or Eastmall (or both) will start offering a knock-off of these soon.
Sometimes I wonder if their confusion is accidentally or on purpose.
I've been wondering the same thing. Knock offs are sure to be forthcoming. The only time I've ordered directly from China was in the beginning from Absolutely e-cigs. My order came in 7 days, well packed/correct order and good communication. It's too bad, RS has some cool products but shoddy business is not going to help them. I hope they do the right thing...

They told me the last time I ordered I would get my replacements for bad Cartomizers. 20 total. Which were in 510 pocket kits, that I cannot give out as gifts as I had planned to. I am so sick and tired of them not following their own warranty. I am getting very wary about continuing doing business with them. I was going to order 808d E2's for the original vgo's I bought from them, but heck I am in a tight money situation right now. I would have made a larger order before had I known they weren't really going to cover their warranty.
Im angry and was about to flip out, so i wanted to build upon that anger by taking a fresh R4 WITH NO AFL SINCe i didnt recieve any afl. So i popped it open, removed the plugs and dry burned it to check if there was primer, there was none, so as im filling it im preying it does work well so i can flip out. So i fill it and screw the 808 r4 xl 3.0 ohm onto a 3.7 mod and a vgo 1300 mah just the way it is, no ptb, no other wick mods.
hes so lucky its working the way it should, no wicking issue, taste is clean on the first drag, no primer, huge vapor, no dry spots, no leaking, this is the r4 in the pic where the whole cup is covered, the 510 i have are not full r4's so i wont comment on this yet. at 3.0 ohm its working wonderfuly at 3.7 so far on 4 devices.

I have a rev 2 and 10 rev 3.5's and I have to say. These run too hot for me at 3.7 or 3.2 volts. And there are some very strange characteristics based on the juice used.
As a 510 user, almost universally these seem to cook the flavor out. This is of course according to my subjective taste.
This is relative to juice compositions as follows:
50/50 PG/VG: exceptionally washed out flavor, somewhat obliterates subtle flavors like green tea.
70/30 PG/VG: Somewhat washed out flavor, totally obliterates subtle flavors like green tea.
100% PG, DeKang Tobacco: Acceptable flavor.
100%VG, Ecopure Regular: Acceptable flavor.
I'm really hoping for an XL 510 at 3.0 ohms, or that the rev 4 somehow change the characteristics. These cartomizers solve a lot of little problems for me. I really *want* to like them and use them.

So I guess the 510's you got would be r3.75..lol... glad to hear the primer's gone and there's no leaking. The last lot of r3's I got are not as good as the ones I tried off you. They're leak prone w/ the filler ring in, so there goes my theory on not disturbing it.

ok... I've got to ask a question here then- on what device are the 510 XL meant to be used on? I don't know any 510 devices that run at 3.0 volts. The eGo is 3.2 fullly charged. My GLV Mini is 4.2 volts fully charged.
I'm a little surprised that they even released them this way. I'll check them and report back if I can find my multimeter.
oh i agree, they shouldnt be 2.5 or 2.6 or 2.7 volts, they should be 2.9 and above. but now they have them at the proper ohms and those work properly.
i use a variable device tekk mod for the lower ohms e2 and dial it down to 3.0 or 2.9 depending on the e2
if you dont have a variable device then for those lower ohm e2 i owuld sugges tto cut the wick and add the ptb tail mod, that will make them usuable at 3.2 and 3.7

A good number of my 510 r3's measure closer to 2.3Ω (lead resistance zeroed out). Have you measured the 510's that are not full R4 versions?

My 510 batteries measure very close to 3.1 volts with a load or while in actual use. My hello battery measures just a tad lower. I get by okay with these voltages, but prefer 2.8 volts. Of course, that's with my favorite juice, so my preferences don't mean much for other people and their juice.

The actual switch adaptor probably has the battery protection circuit, where it cuts off charging above a certain voltage, and shuts the battery down below a low voltage, this pic shows the little circuit that's in the switch adaptors:
But now the other adaptor in my previous post is just a heavy nichrome coil, the adaptor is either 1/2 ohm or 1/ohm,
except I have some good finds and good news. Feel free to bookmark and tell the modders. I found something better than the LM317, this is actually a choice of either a 3.3v regulator, an adjustable one, or a custom made one for co-ops over 50 pieces, they're by Dimension Engineering, and Tenergy has a variable one with a readout of volts and current.
The 3.3volt regulator chip, the adjustable one, and the Tenergy variable circuit pack with LED readouts is all here at all-battery:

Imagine that!!! Sorry to hear Martinez screwed you after all of that bad. And for the record...he never took care of my glued garbage either. He said he was going to..then bailed on it...no honor from this two-faced guy at all. He thinks he has the ecig world in the palm of his hand now but if he runs his business this way he will soon be enlightened on that vision.
One good thing is...if you have some of these already they are easier to rebuild than the attys. I did a little experiment with one to make it easy to replace the wick...since that is the main problem IMO.
To open it up I used a tubing cutter right at the seam where the tube meets the connector...I heated the tubing with a 230 watt soldering gun on one side only..and run the cutter around a few times while wiggling it.
Then pull the coil up out and straighten the coil out...dont worry about the solder joints on the coil...you cant break or melt them...you will break the coil wire first.
Then I formed it in a zig zag pattern with tweezers and a needle...then held the needle in the center and curled the sides up like a taco...
Put some wick it it...put the fill plug on and slide it back in the tube. I used some silicon putty I have for sealing the bottom before pressing it back together. It is working ok but I think some 30AWG nichrome will work better for the coil..so its not perfected yet. But anyway...now when the wick gets burnt and crappy..pull the old out and put some new in. Once the wick is in you can pinch the coils together slightly also..but not too tight to cut off the wicking action.
I am working on some other ideas with this thing too..but I am not going to do free R&D for this guy.
nicotime, yeah i like that alot, ill send you my idea later, im almost done building it but its not functional, its just a prototype moc up. your coil design with my idea would make a instant hit.

the issue was a combo of wick ,slits and ohms, , so far the R4 at 3.0 and above work very well even with heavy back to back drags, these 2 808 xl at 3.0 and 3.1 are the best e2's ive had yet without modding and are performing just as good as the ptb modded r3's and they havent leaked, but i only tested 2 so far so further testing will be needed but i dont have uber amounts of the r4 so i cant go to crazy and i cant cut open to many this time aorund.
