Oh ok, 30 gauge?
Yes, I meant if you use 2 wicks, then the taco may need to be a little bigger, like this idea mod (of your idea):
But if the secondary wick doesn't need to touch the coil then that's fine too.
What gauge is the one in the carto now, by the way, maybe 40?
Way back there somewhere in limbo, I measured one at .004", so we are probably measuring about the same thing. It has been my theory that the smaller wire heats faster, thus one of the reasons why the E2's are different from others. What do you think? The original nichrome is .005, 36 awg..which is a little too flimsy for doing this. Just remember that the coil heats most where it bends..so you dont want any long straight runs in your coil wire.
So far the FIRST two I've used are still going...one is the first edition..the second is a xl 510...I only opened a third because I didn't feel like cleaning one right then...

wow, zoidman if you can read this, please check your pm or hotmail, THANKS
I find your video interesting, bad. As I told you guys before, I have been doing 1 second "sips" since way back when with the E2's. As near as I can tell, I don't see much difference if any with your 1 second drags. This leaves me wondering what in the hell has been going on? Is this why I have not been all that impressed with the PTB mod? I don't think there is anything special about my juice, so I have not been thinking of that as a factor. But then, maybe there will be a definite difference with the R4, so I'll just have to wait and see. If it vapes any better though, I don't know how I will handle it. I am already getting as much or more nicotine than I really need.
OK well mine are version 3's and they have a small silicone washer on top then another one covering the ceramic cup, are you saying pull both off because I notice in your one second drag Vid you have NO silicone cover at all and you ceramic cup is exposed, so I will try this and see how mine work, only problem I see is the liquid must run out if you turn yours up side down it has to
I agree with everything you say, but that wasn't quite the point I was getting it. I'm just wondering if a smaller diameter wire will heat up faster than a larger one if they both have the same resistance. It depends on the battery and the setup br...from what I see on the two different ohm E2's I got...they just use the same wire and add more turns of it for a higher resistance. The only bad thing about thinner wire is that its easier to pop. I dunno...there is no perfect ratio of wire gauge and length and voltage...just depends how you build it I guess.

Of course it would. Less surface area or mass to heat would allow it to heat faster.
I'm thinking:
Same resistane => same wattage => same power
Thicker wire => more mass => more time to get it warmed up?
Brain faded when I started wondering if it's going to stabilize at the same temperature... That might be a function of mass and radiant surface area. might be cooler?
But wouldnt you have the same mass since 1 wire will be shorter than the other?
I dunno...Br has me still thinking of the vastness of space....
Actually the smaller wire would have greater resistance than the larger wire so the larger wire would be longer to create the same amount of resistance giving it even more mass than just it's diameter.
