Just got the email about it 45 minutes ago. There's the same info found at the link below:

The FDA Is Considering a Ban on Online E-Cig Sales

Seems to me, that if people haven't started stocking up yet, it would be a good idea to do so, especially if your main sources of vape gear now are online vendors.

I'm 71 years old. I smoked cigarettes for 47 years. I haven't smoked a cigarette since February 2012. Now the FDA is going to tell me I have to smoke cigarettes again because the tobacco industry is losing business? Obviously the FDA doesn't give a .... about the health of any Americans.

Got the same email,
since most of my online equipment purchases are from China I'm not sure whether such a ban would affect me
unless Customs gets involved. But I was just thinking maybe an investment in flavoring would be wise.
I have nic and doubt they'd ban sales of VG/PG

Brick & mortar vape shops who meet the FDA requirements to stay in business as usual, will have vaping gear for sale. Most can/do card buyers to check for age verification, which is the main reason (supposedly) for them even considering a ban on online sales.

However, quite a few vapers live a good distance from any vape shops! Not only that, but vape shops have very limited choices of product compared to what you can always find online now. The prices for everything at shops would certainly go up, too, without online competition. Seems to me that it would be like opening a door for price gouging even worse than it is now at many shops.

I'm wondering if they'll go after NicRiver or Bulk Apothecary type sites. Or rebuild material and battery sites like Lightening vapes.

I doubt that Bulk Apothecary would have any problem, since the majority of their sales always has been the crafts and home-based business part which involves PG & VG (ie. soap making, lip balms, essential oil stuff, etc.). Some flavoring vendors, like OneStopDIYShop, cater to those who bake, who make candies, etc., and have already removed any reference to DIY eliquids on their websites. I know OSDIY has also been clearancing out most of their tobacco flavorings, too, except for a few blends used in some specialty candies.

IMO, places that have anything to do with vaping, especially in their website names though...like Lightning Vapes, Nic River, Nicotine Giant, Heartland Vapes, etc. would have to make some changes though, if they can even stay in business at all online.

Probably time to grab a mech or two and some nicotine for those who haven't.

Yeah if anyone could PM me and help me with the mech shopping Id appreciate it! I already have one shipping from fasttech but would also like to get a nice quality one.

The only thing I can see this messing up is online jucie and nic sales. Mods, wire, wick, batteries, VG/PG and flavors are not tobacco. I mean they haven't banned the online sales of lighters, rolling machines, filter, pipes and papers.

Then one can still buy cigars and the like online, so I don't see how this can work, legally. If it was really after teens then make online purchases signature required delivery, problem solved. It isn't about that though and we all know it.

The way it stands is, they aren't going doing anything until November when they release stats on underage usage. I guess it takes that long to fabricate the paperwork and double check the lies, I dunno. So there's time to stock up but honestly I'm not worried, they're just boosting the economy, same way they do with the 2A folks and their stuff.

"easy access to vapes has resulted in an “epidemic” of underage use"

I thought that when the FDA instituted all those (sometimes burdensome) "Age Verification" requirements...that that was supposed to stop the "problem" of underage vaping purchases???

I can't help but wonder if the online sales ban will include everything or just the pod systems like JUUL, etc. While NO BAN is the RIGHT BAN, that would be a little easier to take.

Of course that could be just an opening salvo to take it all, but do it little by little in small, easier to get away with, bites.
