Dont let elendil hit them with a hammer just yet....Lets slowly eliminate what is working correctly...then maybe you will come up with what isnt. Make a list of everything it could be...then check that out individually...and mark it off the list.

Sounds strange that an overvoltage would occur considering you have it regulated. Somehow the 8.4 volts is hitting the atty when you flip the switch. If I can see the schematic, I can take a look although it has been a while since I had my electronic tech hat on. Easier to program than solder lol.
These switches are faulty... went to radio shack and got a few to test with... its still blowing them... but not immediately or frequently...
Checking a few other things today... will update more later...
Also... if I have to use these switches, I'll have to re-cut the holes as these are about 2x larger and wont fit in the same spot due to size constraints.

I think I've found another issue... going to add a pic to the preorder page in a few.
This is nuts... I've tried several of the batteries now... NONE of which I have charged. This is how they are coming from the vendor.

So it wasn't the switch? If you put the batteries from the Prototype in the new units, does it still blow atomizers?
Short of a Chinese conspiracy probably a China manufacturing screwup. I'd test batteries from another source and see what happens but Im sure you thought of that already.
I wouldn't mind a couple of those 6v battys, unless they blow all the attys! It would be nice to have 6v protected in a box mod!
I have tested with other batteries now... and it seems as though its working ok...
Tore the finished ones apart trying to figure out what was going on. *lol* Now I have to rebuild them. If there are no problems, first wave should go out Friday.

Btw, is there a way to upgrade shipping to the Priority Mail even though we pre-paid only the standard?
Second round orders had the choice of which shipping to chose. I'll see what I can do for you when those are ready to ship... remind me then.

He says possibly the 1st wave might ship on friday. I guess thats the people who are on the website preorder status page. Bet they will be glad to to see their names gone....I know I will...lol
