Oh, I forgot about the Halo Triton Clearomizer tanks as well. These look to be directly compatible (VGO thread, though Halo doesn't appear to mention that on their site) with Smokeless Image X2 and Spinner batteries. Tritons tanks seem to be well liked, as far as I can tell. The look is similar between the two types of clearomizers (Halo calls theirs a tank, but it's a clearomizer), but the internal design and method of changing out the coil/wick head is different. The Triton may even be a top coil device, but I'm not sure. Obviously I need to look into this more, but I think I'll start off with the X2 - Mini T3 clearomizers and some replacement heads (which will at least save me the extra S&H costs of ordering from multiple vendors). The Triton and its replacement coil/wicks are a bit more price competitive compared to the X2-T3 clearomizers, but by a fairly narrow margin. The Halo batteries are cheaper too, but sadly they do not have any automatic models.

Darn it, I really need to get around to ordering some new gear. My old stuff is quickly fading on me.

The Triton is nearly the same as the Kanger T2...it screws all the way on the X2 while the T2 leaves a slight gap...but both work. Also the T2 replacement coils fit perfectly on the Triton. Most vendors sell short wick replacements while Halo uses long wicks...but either work fine. They are top coil.

If you guys haven't heeded jazz_addict's advice and tried a Vision VT, you're missing out. I LOVE this thing. This is exactly how I've been wanting a clearo to hit. Clean, smooth, warm, great flavor to the last drop, and the batt post stays bone dry. The only burnt taste I got was when I took a hit AFTER I ran out of juice. No tilting, twirling or swishing necessary, even though it's top-coil. Also, you wouldn't have to take it off the batt to refill. Just screw off the mouthpiece and drip juice into the tank. There's absolutely no way to accidentally dump juice into the center tube and it doesn't seem to ever leak (just be sure to double-check tightness of coil afterwards). When the VT on the Spinner ran out of juice and I had to switch to the T3 on an X2, I almost cried. I'm on my fourth refill already.

Only major problem I've had was with the threading. Screws right onto my Spinner (without an adapter yay), but for some reason, I couldn't get it to screw onto my X2s. The threading felt a little wobbly, like when the threads don't match. After a lot of careful finagling, I managed to get it on an X2, used it, took it off to try it on another batt, but couldn't get it back on after that. When it screwed on, it sat a little crooked too. Not so on my Spinner - nice and straight, no finagling, just not all the way down. Weird. I thought the threading was supposed to be the same on Spinners and X2s. Didn't mess anything up though. T3s still screw onto my X2s, and the VT still works on my Spinner. But I could have an X2 with bad threading that screwed it up for the other one, so YMMV.

Another thing about the VT is that you go through juice a little faster. But I think that's because it's actually doing its job and wicking properly. Capacity is 2 ml. I worried about the SS mouthpiece getting too hot, but it's been comfortable so far. $2.20 heads come in a variety of resistances: 1.8, 2.2, 2.4 and 2.8 ohms, depending on where you get them. I was liking the 1.8 on the X2, and I'm loving the 2.4 on my Spinner at about 4.1V. Hoosier eCigs recommends 2.8 on a Spinner at 4.8V.

SI, this would be a really good replacement for the X2 clearos, if upgrading those is in your future. Just 86 the polycarbonate tank (so I wouldn't have to replace them with mini-Vivi Nova metal tubes), fix the threads and make it screw in all the way. Or don't. An o-ring with charms really would fit perfectly there.

About to try the eVod next (with adapters - shucks). Went a little nuts with the sale at Health Cabin and ordered a bunch of those. And more VTs. ;) And did you know that Boge just came out with prepunched LR 45mm tank cartos for 808s?

Phew, am I ever happy with the positive report for the VT, Cindycated, nice review....the silence was deafening, I could hear the crickets! Funny with the X2 cross-threading issue, a previous post from Jingles didn't report that:

I have a Vision Victory Tank 2.0. I just tried it on an X2 and it does work. I hadn't thought to try it on my Volts, so thanks for the tip jazz_addict. I too like this tank. It produces great flavor and vapor.

Are all X2's created equal? Something different with the std eGo threading. Or a batch with slightly messed up threading? Weird one....If you have any non-SI cones/sleeves try one on (if you haven't already) that would prove it.

Excellent suggestion, VT would be a really nice addition, but keep the the X2 clearo and make it rebuildable - be way better. You sell some slick and classy batteries SI, they're excellent, top notch. Let's honor that and get a nice "aftermarket" selection going on them!

Ahhhh the triton is a top coil. Interesting. Is the tank size closer to the T3 or the X2 clearo????

Yeah, I had a feeling you'd appreciate a little love. But thanks for the suggestion - I's very happy right now! :)

Like I said, I could've just had bad threading on that one X2 that messed it up for the other one, but couldn't figure out why I never had a problem on my Spinner, even after I messed up the VT (wouldn't work on either of my X2s after that). I think I can still use them on my X2s with an 808->eGo adapter though. We'll see.

I was never a fan of the CE4s/X2 clearos. SI tried to deep-six them once before, when they came out with T3s. I think they should just try that again with these - with all the new stuff coming out, they seem so dated now. The newbies I recently converted didn't care for them either (unbiased opinion - I gave them each one and didn't say anything). Plus, the VTs are waaaay prettier! And easier to keep alive with all-replaceable parts.

Nice find Cindy!

If you want to use our 808 big batts with carto tanks, it's ideal if the carto is about 5mm longer than the 510s are. (SI XL cartos are 50mm long) You lose about that much length with 808s having the female threads on the carto instead of the battery. Because of this, I've messed up several XL cartos trying to get the length just right to accommodate beauty rings with a standard size tank. Basically, you'd have to cut an SI XL down to about the top of the filler, 40mm. It's not just for the look, although it DOES look much nicer, the flared rings support the bottom of a tank really well.

If you aren't worried about using a beauty ring, the standard tank sizes are fine. Since the 808 threading part of the carto ends up inside the bottom tank cap, we'd need shorter beauty rings to work perfectly with our SI X2s and Spinners using tanks, maybe about 1/4 inch or 6-7mm tall. Frustrating!

Hmmm...so I guess it's back to the drawing board with those. I've got some cheapo tanks on order from FastTech to go with the Boges. Maybe I can try cutting down the tubes...cuz Lord knows, I can't go without the beauty ring!

And I really shouldn't eat ice cream while I'm on ECF. Geez, everything's sticky now, and I think I'm gonna finish this whole tub!

That's great Cindycated, enjoy and be happy! Yeah, I use CE4's on occasion, especially at work at the desk (little smaller and less conspicuous). But I use the good ones, the Vision 808 rebuildables. They perform well, nothing like the VT of course. I just say offer it for the sake of having options and choice, and if they are going to sell a CE4 sell a really good quality one, agree, those non-rebuildables are old school. If SI does decide to carry the VT, we'll need 2 versions...the "flush fit" and the "bling dangler" (ha). But you know, I really don't care if they do, can get it elsewhere, they work and look good, I'm happy!

I've had the VT for about a week before trying it. After I read your glowing review, I had to give it a try. All I can say is you are absolutely right. I've always preferred top coils for the warmer vapor. Boy did I get it! The draw is perfect and it's not airy. I only got one with two replacement heads. Now I can get a couple more.

I also found another great little product from the advice of another forum member. It's a 808 threaded T3 that has a removable driptip. Absolutely no gurgling or moisture on the battery posts from either of these.

The T3 is on the 900 purple Volt spinner and the VT is on the chrome 1300 Volt spinner.

Volts with VT T3.jpg

Addition: I had no problems screwing the VT on any of my X2s or Spinners. :)

Great, you liked it too, sure am happy to hear that! When you said you were getting the VT on my recommendation, I was like "Oh Oh, gonna get chewed out if they don't like it"....And my compliments JoAnnw, you ladies really know how to dress up those batteries!

If I didn't like it, I would never blame you for it. Everyone is different and like different things or there wouldn't be such a large variety of devices or juice delivery systems. If I find something I like, I'm quick to pass the word.

I love trying new things and this VT is a definite winner. The VT BCC 5ml tank is next on my list to try. :)

Oh! Thanks for the compliment!

Almost anywhere...litecigusa, altsmoke, yada yada. All are about the same price give or take.

With the fact that the T2 is a top coil with short wicks does it require alot of tilting and turning to keep the wicks wet??? One thing I noticed with the SI X2 clearos is even though they have long wicks they still requite alot of tilting and turning. And once they get down to less than 1/3 full they are almost useless.
