Hi Dan! Thanks for the calculator! I am a newbie and am wanting to give this a try, however in playing with the calculator it is giving me NEGATIVE numbers on PG (no nic) column. I am using the PG Calc as my Nic is in PG but I don't want to add any more PG to the mix, just VG. Can you explain this to me?

TIA!

Would help to know what your numbers are, but Hoosier is correct, if you VG or Flavor + you NIC is greater than the quantity specified to make you will get neg number in the PG field, meaning you have added to much of some ingredient.

OK thanks! I probably added too much flavor. When I get my DIY supplies I'll try it again and let you know if I still have problems.

You're looking for a multi sheet workbook spreadsheet in a sidebar or a quick launch for the Excel file in the sidebar?

Seems the quick launch would be a fairly easy DIY.

Never seen anything like an Excel file running in a sidebar. Some fairly complex html, sure, but maybe someone more geek than I has seen such a thing.

Hi

Totally new at this....I have a lot of premixed flavored 0mg juice and was given some 100% nicotine liquid. I want to make 6ml bottles of 24mg and 12mg. All I have is what I mentioned and plus a eye dropper. So can anyone tell me how many drops of the 100% nic goes into making 6ml worth of juice at 24mg and how many at 12mg.

TIA

Are you sure you have 100% nicotine? That would be about 1000mg/ml and dangerous to life just opening the bottle without proper equipment. Make sure you are not confusing purity with quantity or strength. And if you do not know what you are doing and actually have 100% nicotine, please do not open the bottle. (The fumes could kill and a single drop can possibly kill 4 people.)

I'm guessing you meant 100mg Nic Juice. If that's the case just figure the percentage of nic juice will be the ending percentage of the mix... e.g. 12% of 100mg nic juice would make a 12% mix. Click the attachment for a table showing the percentages, mls, and drops.

I'd suggest stopping by a local pharmacy and buying some 5 or 10 ml syringes for measuring. Just ask at the pharmacy. I took in my ecig and showed them what I was using it for. Also check on the shelves for 'dosing syringes'. They're for dosing children's medicine. As you can see on the chart, counting drops can be tedious - and who knows how big a drop is anyway? If you're going to be mixing with 100mg and you think you'll stick with DIY, check the vendors like One Stop DIY that have a lot of different measures.

Good Mixing!

Glad to help.... there is a bit of a learning curve on the new jargon. Btw, 100mg is also dangerous stuff - take care, accuracy is important.

As are rubber gloves, I highly recommend them handling 100mg. They do two things, help preserve a sterile environment and protect your hands from accidental exposure.
Hope this helps...

Dan you hear it a lot but thanks. I made my own spread sheet a while ago and was using it, building it up bit by bit as I needed something new like mixing two different mg and someone told me about this one. So I took a look at yours because others I have look at that people have attempted to make there calculation were off or not in right order but your is 10x better then mine with sub-drops plus ever calculation I have not made yet and it is visually good to. Plus you keep it up dated to. If you are anything like me your budget spreed sheet has pie graphs and everything too. Plus from reading your post it gives you joy to help others and teach them. So thankyou

Your welcome, I have been working on v14, adds a few new routines for those that have asked for it. Hopfully it will be out soon.

Added:
If anyone out there has new recipes they would like to add, just copy Your recipe spread sheet to a new workbook and send me that xls file (Just the recipe worksheet) to scubabatdan@yahoo.com , I will compile all the sheets I recieve into v14 so we as a community can benifit from one another. Make sure your user name is in the contributer field so you get credit :)

Thanks,
Dan
