Scubabatdan... What an effort. You sir are to be congratulated in the highest manner. I just started e cigs and ordered a bunch of DIY stuff to save money on my juices. Your work here is just amazing. I once played with a spreadsheets years ago and found the learning curve to be more than I wished to endure. My hats off to you for the work you've done as well as sharing it with everyone here. If your ever in New Mexico PM me and I'll take you out prospecting and guarantee that you'll have gold in your pan. Its a great adventure.... Tortoise

You get up to Alaska and I'm telling you... they have some of the best gold prospecting anywhere. Not to mention the great fishing, river trips, and hunting. I've gotta get up there sometime before I die for sure. Have a great trip and the best of luck to you.....Tortoise

When using the spreadsheet, if I try to add a recipe it says that macros are disabled because my security level is set to high and the document is unsigned. I went into the settings and changed the security level to low but I still get the same pop up about security level being set to high so I cant use the macros. Any one have any input for me?

If you are mixing up juice with vg in it, it can be too thick to wick properly in some atomizers. Generally, I think something like 10% of the volume of vg you add pure alcohol. So I had a bottle of boba's bounty (90/10 vg/pg i think) it was about 18 ml, so it's probably 16ml vg, so I added about 1.6ml alcohol. Pure alcohol thins better than water, but can be hard to get in some states, vodka or even just plain water works to thin also, just need a little bit more.

I have Microsoft Office Starter but when trying to download this calculator it's telling me I have a problem with licensing and it won't finish. Do I have to have the full Excel version? I've a read a little around this thread and haven't noticed any posts with this problem so it's probably my bad luck and my problem alone. I wish I could use this for the ability to easily figure larger batches from my test samples. Boohoo, so sad... too bad! :)

It's be nice to see the file in a non proprietary format... Then people wouldn't have to use excel. Unless the OP gets a cut of microsoft sales our something...

The trial version of excel should work. I have full, there was a bar at the top I had to click to enable editing, then again to enable macros.

You could also try 'open office calc' in the open office suite. It's completely free for the full version, and hopefully works also. It seemed to be working when I opened the file. You still have to enable macros in open office also. Or you could try google docs. Also free.

It's 2011 people, stop using microsoft office file types. It was cool when they were the only game in town, but now you just lock people in to their software. There are open standards for a reason.

seems to work fine with OpenOffice on my Linux laptop. Doesn't get much more open and free than that. I think most people know what a .xls file is, but few know what a .ods file is. So excel format is a perfectly acceptable choice for this venue. This is a pretty complex set of sheets, something simplistic like google docs will just not handle a setup like this without dumbing it down quite a log. But, between MS Excel and OpenOffice everyone should be able to use this without an issue or cost.

...

Cool. Anxiously awaiting your open standard calculator.

Let us know when you're releasing it.
