Yes I do copy new flavors in, how am I messing up the links to them, I buy new flavors from TPA all the time and want to include them properly... thanks in advance

Best way I have found of adding flavors without messing the link or having to redo the drop down list is to click the row number just below where you want to add the flavor. Right click and then click on insert. Add your flavor to the new row that was inserted.

I do it that way most of the time and seldom have an issue.

Dan or anyone I need help. I'm on a mac, the excel I'm using is 2008 for mac, the calculator I'm using is v13.

Now I go to enter a recipe, I have to use the 2nd tab labeled recipes, as I'm adding a recipe there is a flavor not listed in the drop down menu, so I go to the 9th tab labeled flavor lists for Drop-downs, add it the right way, by adding a row, then go back to recipes, to add the flavor and when I try to enter the flavor I get "The value you entered is not from the required list."

What am I doing wrong? I don't think I've done anything with Macro's although I don't have a clue what that is, except it's a setting in excel and in my camera.

Agh, even my 15 year old son is just looking at me with a blank "I don't know" look on his face.

Go to the row above the one you added and copy the cells A and B on that row, then paste them in the row you added then it should allow you to change the name. I just tried it and it worked fine.
Let me know if that works.

Hi Scubabatdan! Thanks for the calculator! I am new to the forum but have been vaping for about nine months now and of course I've contractred the dreaded itch to mix my own. I ordered supplies and thought while I was waiting it might be a wise idea to find some sort of calculations chart. This was more than I expected, very precise, I like that! I just took a glance at it, however, and didnt realize at first that the drops=ml was customizable, is this value based on the device being used to measure using a calibration procedure and if so, what kind of equipment will I need to aquire this value? TIA

P.S.- This has probably already been answered ad nauseum but it is a huge thread to sift through. Tx

Most people use the drops = 1ml for producing small batches. It is basically how many drops your given syringe or dropper dispenses to = 1ml. Since all droppers are different, most people us a dropper per liquid, I usually count drops from my dropper to 5ml and then average. This way I have a set number for that liquid and dropper. Then I can plug those numbers in and make my small batch. This way it helps keep things consistant when moving to larger batches when only ml are used.
I hope this helped, and answered your questions.

I've gotta say, you have outdone yourself! This excel sheet is phenomenal! I followed your lesson with Kat1234 and understand the calculator. My question is this:
When I order the nicotine and it asks what pg/vg ratio I want what do I say. I like my juice at 70pg/30vg. Is that the ratio I should have it mixed at? I tried to figure that out but by mind keeps shutting down on me.

The ratio is sort of up to you, I personally only order VG nic for two reasons. One I can mix pure VG nic mixes if needed, and two, I can calculate the % of VG/PG easily, since the NIC portion is usually the least amount used. If I cut the VG nic down from 100mg to say 25mg, then I proportion it to 20/80 VG/PG and I go from there. I do this for flexibility since I mix alot of different mixes for a lot of different tastes.
Hope this helps,
Dan

If I didn't plan on making any vg only, then would it be just as easy to calculate the % of vg/pg or am I missing something. Also, I tried to save the calculator to a folder on my desktop but when I went to open it it wasn't there. Am I missing something? Then I created an account at mediafire and saved the file there but I can't seem to get it to open. I want you to know that I really appreciate the trouble and time you take to help. You must be a really nice guy! I know you are married so I won't even ask.

Ok if you do not ever plan on making straight VG then 70/30 or PG Nic would be fine. The link to the V13 calculator in in my sig, it is where the latest version will always be. I do not use MediaFire anymore, I use filesanywhere so just click the link in my signature and save it to your desktop or where you can find it easy. -----> Download my Excel v13 ejuice calculator Enjoy! <------
If that does not work PM me you email addy and I will email it to you.
LOL yes I am married :)
Hope that helps,
Dan
