Okay, so I performed a little test. I started at 8:30 am on 2/26 with a fresh set of Samsung ICR 3000 mAh batteries and a full tank. I used the iStick as my primary device (so, business as usual) to see how long the batteries would last and how many tanks of juice I went through. The batteries died at 11:47 pm on 2/28, so I got 3 full days out of that set. I went through somewhere around 4 tanks of juice (Apex tank with a .5 Clapton in it) but I forgot to let it run dry a couple of times and topped it off. Duh.
When the batteries were finally almost dead (it was LATE and I needed to go to bed, lol!) I put in a single LG HG2 in it and went to bed, so I basically started running it the following morning, 2/29, at about 7:30 am. That battery died today, 3/1, at 12:47, so I got a little less than a day and a half out of it. I went through about a tank and a half of juice.
So that concludes my little experiment. I did get more than double the life from the dual battery system than I did with a single, which is good to know, and I will definitely keep running it as a dual setup. I love how long it runs without having to change batteries.
