Just to clarify, one of the battery doors when it is placed in the magnet button side does not work properly and often fails. Magnet button does not seem to be the problem as it works perfectly with the other battery door.

Thanks for the clarification.

The button itself is a magnet and in the door there is also supposed to be a magnet that makes contact with the button. That particular magnet could be missing or has gotten pushed in too far to make contact. Thats what I was referring to. Just trying to help you troubleshoot the problem. If one door works and the other doesn't look for the difference in the two. They should be identical.

i think you are perfectly right, that is why i think that one of the battery doors seems to have a manufacturing defect as they should be identical. The one that works fine is numbered 3 and the other one is numbered 4, apart from that, they appear to be identical. It may be a very subtle defect that I can not detect.

I would contact eleaf or your vendor and see if they will send you another door. It does sound as though there is a manufacturing defect with one of them.

Ordered one from gearbest last night. With code etc100w, brought price down to $28.89. Now the wait begins. I have way too many mods.

HD
I ordered one from them last week and I am also playing the waiting game. I had a credit for almost exactly the price of the iStick so it was a no-brainer for me. If my credit had been for 88 cents more than it was I could have afforded the tracking, but nope. I have to stalk the mailman instead! :D

I do not mind, the other one works perfectly. In fact I posted it just in case anyone has the same issue. The solution could be easy; just try to interchange the doors.

$7 seems a little high for 2 doors I was thing more like less then $5 but it's not like $7 will break the bank for some people.
I thought the same when I saw them. The entire unit is cheap enough, why are the doors so pricey? I was expecting them to be like $2 each or something.

Mine arrived today (ordered from FT during the CNY sale). One of the battery doors was missing a magnet. Okay, I'll have to glue one of the round ones I have in there. [sigh] Also both doors fit too loosely, feeling loose and creaky in the hand. Okay, I put some pieces of plastic labeling tape inside to take up the slack. [groan]

The good news is despite these disappointments, I don't hate it. :|

:D Different OCD. Mine makes me work on it until it's just right. Honestly, that's been the case with almost every mod I've ever had so I'm used to it.

Okay, so I performed a little test. I started at 8:30 am on 2/26 with a fresh set of Samsung ICR 3000 mAh batteries and a full tank. I used the iStick as my primary device (so, business as usual) to see how long the batteries would last and how many tanks of juice I went through. The batteries died at 11:47 pm on 2/28, so I got 3 full days out of that set. I went through somewhere around 4 tanks of juice (Apex tank with a .5 Clapton in it) but I forgot to let it run dry a couple of times and topped it off. Duh.

When the batteries were finally almost dead (it was LATE and I needed to go to bed, lol!) I put in a single LG HG2 in it and went to bed, so I basically started running it the following morning, 2/29, at about 7:30 am. That battery died today, 3/1, at 12:47, so I got a little less than a day and a half out of it. I went through about a tank and a half of juice.

So that concludes my little experiment. I did get more than double the life from the dual battery system than I did with a single, which is good to know, and I will definitely keep running it as a dual setup. I love how long it runs without having to change batteries. :)
