Anyone try an iclear 30s on top of an istick?

Just ordered my first and I've only been using the 30s lately.

Curious what it may look like.

Thanks

Here's one on a pink istick. istickwiclear30.jpg

It works pretty much the same as it does on a MVP. I'm one of those who feels it runs hotter so I just have it set slightly lower than I would if it were on the MVP or Provari. I don't really care that much for the iclear 30s, but I have a ton of them that came with MVP purchases and it's not at all top heavy on the istick which is nice.

    There's a Difference between a Heli-Coil and a Thread Insert.

A Heli-Coil is used to Repair a Thread that is Damaged. Whereas a Thread Insert is used so a Thread Doesn't get Damaged.

If I have a Soft Metal, like Brass or Aluminum, and need a Thread in it that will get Heavy Use, cutting threads into the Brass or Aluminum is not the Best Approach. Especially when the Depth of Thread is < 2x the Diameter of the Threads. And a Bad Call when the Depth of Thread is <= the Diameter of the Threads. Using a Steel Thread Insert is a Very Viable way to go.

BTW - Can you take a Picture of your Connector. Because none of mine have a Heli-Coil in them. And all of them look like your Run-of-the-Mill Non Adjustable 510 Connectors.

That's ok. It just looked odd to me and different from my other 510 connections. But if a few guys with some knowledge tell me different- I'm ok with that :).

There was a Close Up Picture of a connector where someone put an O-Ring on their center pin. But I can't seem to find it.

I don't know that it needs a cover to protect it from scatches, maybe it's anodiized (is that how that's spelled?)or something but I did an "uh oh!!" and jabbed my engagement rings diamond over it pretty hard and nothing, no scratches.

Same deal with the protanks and the V2's they just barenly hang over the control switch side.

here's a couple of pics...damn it's hard to get a macro pic on the little guy with my phone. Not much to see, the o-ring is almost complexly under the pin, can just barely see the black peeking out from the sides. The stock insulator is a tan colored. in the second pic you can see the stock insulator just barely beyond the black o-ring on the top right hand side. the o-ring seems to fit under the pin perfectly. I hope this works cause this tiny mod is the perfect size.

Here you go ^^^^^^^^ ZM ;)

I just watched one of Busardo's older videos which I found to be quite interesting. He goes into Vavg, Vrms and PWM. Also why some devices read a certain voltage but run higher (depending on how you calculate it :)).

Yes. I have nothing to do today and I have all day to do it. (Although Mrs. Kodiak is working on "the list" I'm sure).

Hey Classy, hope all is well. Question before I dig thru old stuff, do those attys have that nasty primer taste of yore? I'm happy with the Aspire 2.0 (that register 2.1-2.2 on the istick) and think trying those is brilliant, if not for that taste and smell.. For me, even on the Cana before I fried it, higher is happy!.

Not as bad as the older stuff was...I just wipe them down, blow them out really good, add VG and blow that out good too
Everything is gone by then :)

I've been using the Istick as my work device for a few weeks now and it has been a winner for me for sure. Great form factor and awesome battery life.

That being said, I have had and still have the same issue with the output voltage/wattage vaping hotter than the displayed setting. When I say issue, I mean more of a minor annoyance because at its lowest setting with a 1.5ohm coil which is 3.0v or 6 ish watts it gives me the same vape I've been getting for years on many other devices set to 4.1 ish volts or 10 to 11 watts.with the same 1.5ohm coils.

I have 3 Isticks in the house, two for me and one for the wifey. One was purchased from Eleaf and the other two from another vendor and they all perform exactly the same. So the " your istick is broken, return it" response wont be necessary. Wife vapes hers at 3.0v also BTW.

Some in this thread will see this as a complaint post and somehow be threatened by my findings, but I think it is important for people to give there honest opinion. Only way to know for sure is to try it your self and see if it works for you.:toast:

I happen to agree both with your findings and thinking.

That said, I would buy another one of these if this one dies. What I get for the price-point is worth it to me. If I was ordering something from ProVape for $200 bucks, I would not be happy with what I got, and more than a few in this thread might want to consider what they got for what they spent.

When I rec'd my iStick, they forgot the adapter. I just rec'd an adapter finally, but not the one that was in the pictures. They sent the same kind that everyone already has.

Has anyone actually gotten this adapter?:

Yup, I got one, but since I don't need it, I just tossed it out with the packaging and 'instruction' booklet.

It will be interesting to see how much FT sells them for.
It will be more interesting to see if they actually get to the U.S. before version 2 hits the streets. :D

Honestly... I've ordered crap from them I hadn't remembered ordering. A twisted, deformed package would show up and I'd think it was a gift from somebody.

I was able to grap a Silver Istick and Nautilus Mini on the classifieds today. Just easier...and the combined price less than what I would have paid elsewhere and it should mid here middle of next week.

Interesting. I found out about the istick last week, found multiple places selling them on Google and ordered one the same day. Turned out they were on eBay for a good price and in stock (VapeNW) and had it in 5 days (over a weekend). I couldn't believe it's been out for almost a month before I even heard about it. Definitely glad I got it.

I think I missed that Topper.

My Eye must have been Bedazzled by the Bling that was Adorning it.

I think that would be the Eye Poka version. :D

    LOVE that Kat!

See guys? SOME people are not Bling Baffled. :D

That took no time at all. No price mentioned?
