Got this email from Ace of Vapes yesterday concerning my istick pre-order from September 24:

China is backed up guys. Yes, some vendors are receiving theirs already. We are still waiting for our shipments. This is totally out of our control. We send out emails on the complete updates whenever we get more news. When the mods get here you will receive a tracking number. Please be patient. This is a preorder and they do take time. The Chinese holiday has not helped this preorder at all.

I might have it by Christmas.

Past history says that once we get past Christmas and through the first couple of weeks of January, it will be late February before stock is rolling reliably out of China towards the U.S. markets due to the Chinese New Year shutdowns the last week of January until the second week of February. That always sucks.

I'm waiting for two things on the Eleaf istick. Product maturity and in stock merchandise. Version 1 of most anything electronic is frequently immature.

I have a Sigelei Zmax V3 with early firmware. It works fine, but has issues with the firmware, menu labels, and a flaky fire switch. They aren't showstopper issues, but for $74 I should have waited for updates before purchasing. I can replace the fire switch, but I don't have access to the software/firmware to re-flash the ROM.

mine's still working like a charm!! I got those circuit spacers in from Dave at Mad Vapes..thanks to them, they're tiny lil suckers .25 in width, and if they're more than 5 mm I'd be surprised, if anyone has any idea how I'd get one of these under a pin..other than cutting out part of it..let me know please, right now I have it shoved under one of the V2s that was a bit wobbly to not get "atomizer short" error message, (although with other thanks it's working, I KNOW it does NOT like the 0.8 ohm coils) and it's doing the trick.

I have several of these I use on my vv3'2 and mvp. They are intended to lay on the surface of the mod 510 pin before attaching the topper. Simply serve as a conductive spacer, and get lost VERY easily. I started with 6 and have 3 left.

oh snap!! Idoh!!Think a dot of superglue would mess with the conductivity? Thanks Gray!!!:toast:

Yes, Superglue can be problematic it those situations. It may work, but if it doesn't, you're kinda screwed. Maybe a little dielectric grease would help hold it in place? Or Vaseline?

Anyone else charging @ 1 Amp and getting a quite warm Istick and Charger??

Yes, it heats up while charging, like most batteries do. Aluminum is a good conductor of electricity and heat :) It also gets warm when chain vaping. But it cools down quickly when the charge or chain vaping is completed.

Nothing to worry about.

I'm using a 1500 mAh charger (1.5A) and haven't noticed excess heat while charging. Funny thing, though. I went through an entire charge yesterday and didn't go through any more e-liquid than normal, approximately 6ml. I vaped for a half-hour or so in pass-through mode and it did get noticeably warm but not too hot to hold. Interested in others' experiences...

When I rec'd my iStick, they forgot the adapter. I just rec'd an adapter finally, but not the one that was in the pictures. They sent the same kind that everyone already has.

Has anyone actually gotten this adapter?:

Out of 3 I've purchased, two came with the adapter. Anyone not needing the adapter (I use mine) should offer them up (free, or $, whatever) to the early buyers who didn't get them because they work much better on the iStick than the generic ones. The thumbwheel really helps, and the center pin 'floats' so that if you screw the adapter on first the tank makes earlier contact with the center pin(s) and helps with NOT pushing the iStick center pin down too much.

1st of mine came from ELeafUS (adapter but no cable), 2nd (no adapter) from eBay uvape/VapeNW, and 3rd from Smoke-Evolution (adapter & cable).

And fwiw, none of my 3 display the revision or anything else when pushing both adjustment buttons.

Yes, I think I experienced the same. I've also noticed from the start that I have to bump it up close to 2 watts as the charge drops. And back down the same after it charges.

Definitely not. You don't want anything conductive in there as there's an insulator around the pin to prevent a short. Dielectric grease would be my choice.

I use a 1.8 amp BB charger and it doesn't even get warm.
