Well, still no tracking info is available for my istick. That's ok though cause I got it yesterday. Found it in the box this morning. Shipped Monday and got here Wednesday. I have tested it on a few toppers to see how it performs. It seems to burn at anything over 10 watts except for an iClear X.l, as I expected. tanks won't sit quite flush on it but the adapter does. Here's what I found so far
Rose 1.3 ohm single coil- fires 7 to 20w won't wick fast enough over about 11 to keep up
Joyetech 1.5 510 atty- fires 7 to 20w best below 10
iClear X.l 2 ohms- best below 10
Kanger T3S 2.5 ohm- best below 8

These are my preferences with the particular juice and coils/wicks I have in these. I haven't taken the time to find the best settings for the different devices but I don't understand why some say that adjusting at lower settings has little effect. I found a sweet spot at 6.3 for an apple that was in one of my wife's Kangers. I like the .1 increment adjustment for fine tuning. It's small and easy to use. I don't see any problem with the threads especially using the adapter. Screw up the adapter, replace it. I think she will just be using the iClears on it for now with the adapter and beauty ring so I don't foresee a major thread issue from swappin out different tanks. She usually only removes a tank to fill it and that's it. She has the same 2 Kanger tanks I gave her a year ago with the same coils. They never leaked, gurgled, flooded, nothing. I had 3 from the same batch and had all of the above. If using means means longer battery life then by all means keep it. I don't know if that's the case but I still have no problem with it. It's easy to adjust to it. The best thing about it is the high performance without the bulk. I haven't thoroughly tested it but I've seen enough to decide to give it to my wife and she absolutely loves it! I'm placin a preorder on the 30w for myself ( as soon as I can find that link) and will (maybe) wait to see how the 50 performs before considering it. It is definitely a nice upgrade from her VV3. Maybe she will get her nic fix now because she has a habit of just puffin on her VV3 and egos like a cig. She gets a much better draw with it. I'm more than happy and I agree you can't beat it for the price. Thumbs down on P Busardo

As long as the wonky threads hold up til she can get worthwhile use out of it, I'll be ok with it. :)

BIKEN!

He likes it!!!!!! And SHE likes it!!!!!! YIPPEE and congratulations. I think we all knew you would. :)

I really love the AFCs on my 'Sticks. There's not too much additional height, and no worries for the little threadies.

I bought a Smart-20 from FT because another poster in this thread said they were reliable and operate just like the istick, and I have found that to be 100% true. I like the additional colors available on the Smart-20 too. Win-win for me - just had to wait about a month to receive, but I had 2 other isticks to use until it got here. I'd recommend the Smart-20 without hesitation.

I think the gold is very cool! :)

The GOLD would get me to get one....... fer sure. ;)

I ain't sayin I LOVE it, but I wish I had bought 2 :) I just realized that I'm vapin it left handed. That's a first. Now I don't have to put it down to use the mouse. Even typin with it in my hand. I like vapin left handed. It's doin justice to this Rose. Bride of Bikenstein is in the other room right now, she thinks it's still on the charger.

LOL!

I have yet to hear any complaints about screen orientation. I paid $21, shipped for my current iStick. Not gonna complain about the orientation of the screen. Though a stealth mode would be nice. :D

Mini 'Stick, alden. Can't get much more stealthy than that.

"Where's my istick? I thought it was charging!" ( It's charged) " You have it" (I had to test it out) " I don't want your stuff on it!" (Let me show you how to set it) " Have you decide to get one for yourself?" (Why do you ask that?) "Because I know you like it"...........................Can't get nothing past em after 40 years!

You must be either the greatest guy to live with .... or .....

strange - dv is usually up on their descriptions :?:

switch vv to vw?

He must have changed it. I didn't see anything like that on the site, tibs. He IS so good about descriptions and his love of vaping and sincerity always shines thru.

I exercise care with all threaded connections, vape related or otherwise despite the quality of the materials. As I stated earlier in this thread you will always have the less mechanically inclined population that meet resistance with more force and think tighter is always better while applying the gorilla grip to everything. My 2 iSticks have displayed no threading issues and I don't use any adapters. They travel to work everyday as they are my go to stealth devices. I daily use them while driving because of the form factor and quality of the vape when paired with the right topper.

I have never had threading issues with any vape device despite owning more than one with less than a stellar 510 thread. Just as we'll never rid ourselves of those that should not have a driver's license we'll never be rid of the less mechanically inclined that will fail to grasp that the bulk of their problems lie with the operator and not the device.

Cross threading and excessive force only covers part of the problem. Myself, I have never cross-threaded any tank, atty or screw of any kind, but I'm a clutz. Always dropping things, including my mods, I've broken plastic tanks, never bought a glass one. (not looking for problems).

I used the supplied eleaf adapter and after a couple drops have managed to bugger the threads on the top of the adapter. Have considered using some ClearKote and dusting it with some fine sand for a non-slip grip. In the meantime I'm continuing to use adapters and beauty rings on all my APVs....:)

Speaking of the Mini 'Stick.......

I've been vaping it a lot since Monday nite. No, not consistently, but giving its fair share of puffers. I'm showing 15% batt left. Not bad for an itty bitty mod!

I know this is crazy (and don't anyone dare say "cra cra" anymore..... it's been deleted from our language as of 2015), but I'm not sure the vape is quite the same on the Mini. It seems I have to increase the voltage on the Mini for a similar vape to the regular 'Stick. That makes no sense to me, but I'm reporting as I experience it, sans technical knowledge.

Please hold for the iStick thread tech dept-- they will be happy to explain how this might be possible

Mind if I read some threads while I'm on hold? Think it'll be a long wait? Will I get a CS person I vibe along with? Do I need to pull out my abacus for any technical details?

The Mini seems not to fire as mean as the 20W iStick. ;)

I'll bet they made the mini with RMS. Wouldn't that make the difference?

mini box mod SMY35 | Electronic Cigarette,E-Cigarette,Simeiyue Technology,Eliquid,CE4,EGO-T,EGO-C,VIVI NOVA

Is Betty's ship sinkin!??!

Rather cute, Buster. I shall add it to the (ever-growing) list!

Poor Betts. Her ship sank! She was involved in a heavy duty war of BATTLESHIPS, and welp, she got hit. She grabbed the barkeep and all the top shelf stuff, a life preserver, and is currently adrift on the water - on her way to a friend's "yacht". She's doing swimmingly, so no worries.

The Mini seems not to fire as mean as the 20W iStick. ;)

alden alden aldenF.... tsk tsk. The Mini seems not to fire as MEANLY as. Where is yer Gramma? ;)

Hmmmmm....... thanks, coffee! I wonder if the Boop needs a pretty lil Gold B-Day mod! It's that time of year.

Wow. Nice list. I think I will have 1 of each. Lol Thanks for putting that together. I am sure it will be growing soon. Actually if it is a list for itty bitty mods then you would have to add the new Joyetech eGo ONE. That is currently my favorite stealthvape.

Eleaf has just launched the new Melo sub ohm tank to battle the Atlantis and the Sub Tank. Not sure between the Lemo and the Erlk. I do have a reg Erlk, it's fussy to me. New tanks are poppin out just as fast as mods now! :D

I have been vaping the Melo, and Joyetech Delta II for a few days and I am impressed with both. The Melo is almost exacty like the Atlantis (actually the Atlantis coils fit and work in the Melo) with 1ml more juice capacity and coils that have organic cotton. The real standout to me is the Joyetech Delta II. Check out my review.

Question: hpw does the silver istick hold up? Im concernd the surface will emphasize scratching, should i go with the blue.
I have the silver and dropped it just once and it pretty much slid a little on concrete. The scratches aren't that noticeable unless you really look close.

Thanks for the reply. I really want to try a Kayfun-like RTA to see what the fuss is about. I still change out flavors regularly and I don't want to have to buy coil heads all the time.
