I guess 1.8 it is

I used a Rose on my wife's yesterday with a 1.3 and cotton and didn't get a burnt taste. It was good at 7w. I must have hit it at least 20 times but I haven't been able to sneak it away from her today so I can't check it out to see if I was just overlookin it. :)

Depends on what you're running. Most of the clearos can't handle that much power.

Since the istick runs in mean mode, the voltage can jump up pretty high. Even at set 3 volts, it can jump up to as much as 4 volts. Which on something lower than 1.8 ohm (depending on the tank and coil set up you have) is kind of high and can taste burned.

Closer to 1 5/8 the size so maybe 50% bigger in volume but still only 1/2" wider

Even closer to 1 33/50 the size, but I didn't realize we were splitting hairs.

Yes, it's only 1/2" wider, but since the original istick was only 1 1/4" wide, 1/2" is fairly considerable, as it has to do with ratio's, not overall measurements.

If they lengthened a football field 1/2", it's of course, no big deal. If they lengthened it 66 yards, that would be something else.

A 66% increase in size might not be a big deal to you, but it probably is to others.

That's awesome Mr. awesome! But it's still only 1/2" wider :) If a half inch is a big jump to you, so be it.

Thanks, I hadn't considered that. I have some old Kangers around with 1.8's in em. I was originally concerned my wife couldn't use her Kangers with the istick but the ones she's usin now and the one I tested yesterday are 2.5. It did good at 6-8w as I remember.

The ones I have are 1.8 and 2.2. I have to run them between 5-6 watts. Which is weird for me. I'm used to 8 ways with them

I don't see the slight size increase being a big deal . It'll still be pretty small compared to most other mods. The battery life is what appeals to me.

It is weird havin to drop the watts but I find that hers still performs great at low wattage. I'm gonna buy a 30 and some 50's. I'll probably end up sub ohmin with a
Delta ll on a 50 and put my other gear in the cabinet. I found some real good cheap juice too. So thinkin about quittin diy, coil buidin, battery chargin, drippin (which stuff I have enjoyed doin). No point to me cause I have a big enough hobby with motorcycles. With all the new quality stuff they're comin out with, I can just focus on my bikes and still have the vape I like. :)

For the last 2 1/2 years, I averaged over 70 hrs/week working. Dripping was out of the question and my RTAs tended to leak often, particularly if they weren't standing upright. I tried numerous builds in my EHPro KFL+ v2 but could never find a build that both vaped well and was leak resistant. That's why I found ways of getting a quality vape out of my ProTank2 w/airflow control through rebuilding the heads.

Then came the Erlkonigin. Cloud Hunter's wicking, that I linked to previously, has proved practically leak-proof and an amazing vape. From a completely empty tank, you might get a bit of initial gurgling/leaking that quickly goes away. If I close the AFC ring before filling, the most I've gotten is some slight gurgling that quickly subsides. If I refill before emptying the tank, rarely do I get a bit of gurgling. Thoroughly priming a new or completely dry wick helps prevent gurgling/leaking after filling.

The trick is cutting the wick so the shoulders make contact with the chimney. The wisp of wick that travels down the liquid channels transports the e-liquid like crazy with both organic Japanese cotton and Rayon. The wet shoulders, against the chimney, act as a seal against the e-liquid. I mistakenly left my Erlk lying on the passenger seat of my black vehicle, in direct sunlight, for a couple of hours. My punishment for such stupid behavior? The slightest bit of gurgling that quickly went away.

The Erlkonigin is shorter than my KFL+, holds 6ml of e-liquid (I've filled it once), provides incredible flavor, has as much airflow as a LEMO (after opening the center pin a bit with a round needle file), can throw gobs of vapor and is highly leak resistant. Do I like my Erlkonigins? You betcha! YMMV. If I remember correctly, KTMRider hasn't had as good of a time with his Erlk clones. Maybe he'll chime in and share his experiences...

If you don't need the 6ml capacity, I would recommend checking out the Erlkonigin Nano you posted earlier. It's getting great reviews but I haven't seen it Stateside yet. It's 10mm shorter with a 3ml capacity and seems the perfect fit on the smaller iStick, Cloupor Mini & VS DNA30 devices. Remember the Erlkonigins are only 20.5mm in diameter! For less than $15, it seems a cheap experiment. My PT2 w/AFC was over $20. If you don't like it, you could sell it for at least $10.

Good luck!

The secret kayfun build that both vapes great and doesn't leak when wicked right is the Clapton build. I am running that at 1.2 ohms with outstanding results

Want to share your real good, cheap juice find? Not sure I'm prepared to give up DIY at the moment. But a source like that is always welcome!

Where did you get it 21 shipped?

It was a Black Friday sale. They over-sold their stock and I waited three weeks for delivery. I was not going to purchase another iStick after my first suffered an untimely death. I simply planned on keeping track of future mini-mods that were being announced. At that price however, I wasn't going to rob myself of the fantastic form-factor... I'm currently eying the 30W iStick, Cloupor Mini and Smok XPRO M36. There are a couple more I'm interested in hearing more about. A lot of pricing hasn't dropped yet either. The list that Katdarling has been heroically keeping current is growing weekly. I figure that things will settle reasonably well by the first of February. Chinese manufacturers are going to want to have supplies in vendors' hands before they break for the Chinese New Year on Feb. 19th.

Unless you're desperate for a decent vape RIGHT NOW, I'd wait for some user feedback and a couple of reviews of these new mods before parting with any of your hard-earned cash.
