People always have praise to the nautilus line, but I never tried them for aesthetic reasons, I just didn't like their looks, found the aerotanks more visually appealing, and since I was rebuilding the heads, I could find tune the vape how I wanted it
Now I predominantly use sub tanks. In fact I've gotten rid of all my other tanks, pifed to new vapers. All except my kayfun lite that I use for higher Nic stuff.
One more thing on the early atty's (shelf attys, store bought atty, disposable atty, tasting atty, dripping atty). They also worked marvelously with bottom feeder mods. And, the last ones out of the block, sometimes called designer attys, cost about the same as the GS Air does now and quite a bit more.
Drip Tips. I've had new vapers ask about this odd name for our mouthpieces. They were invented by a vaper here in the USA so one could drip into them! Someone made one and it was at a vape show and soon after Super T make them for sale. Then others and, of course, China. Later is became common to just remove it and drip! Yet the product and name has continued on, even though they are pretty much just mouthpieces now.

Yea, best get ya some Meow Mix Kat! One I haven't seen mentioned yet, that I received Friday, is Eleafs Melo. Good vapor production and price, flavor seems a little muted to me, it did need some time to break-in, has plenty of air flow but I'm runnin it tighter with prob. 1.7 air holes open. I don't have any other sub tanks to compare it to but it's good for a change-up and preforms well. Oh and thanks for the all info on the 510 attys guys. I tried one last year to sample juices and could not get it workin for me, tossed it. Now I know!

Back to the iSticks....I been puffin away on an Eleaf Air on the 50W iStick for two days now @ 8-9 watts...battery level hasn't moved.
The iStick 30's are about the same....if you're not into sub-ohm-ing continually (like me), these are simply great batteries for both types of vaping.
What great technology Eleaf has come up with in such a short period of time.
They will be going places in the tank and mod business BIG-TIME in the very near future. I'd be willing to bet they outsell every competitor in the market (if they are not already).
Agree. I can't believe how fast the mini istick charges.... of course it uses up charge fast too
...but quick recharge!
The Subtank Mini is 22mm also. You have to watch it with Kanger - their eMow Mega is 22mm
My Emow Mega is only 19 mm--is there a larger version already on the market? AFAIK, the Aerotank mega is 22 mm.
But I've been wrong before... Kanger releases those tanks like there's no tomorrow. Can't keep up.

You guys are so funny! We "grew up" on those things. I spent the entire first year of vaping doing nothing more than dripping on 510 atties and then 306 atties. Ok, also the 901s which I still love. I even did those big boy 801s. Did they have some quirks? OH YEAH, but that's what we had. Cartomizers came along and scared the youknowwhat out of me. Too complicated.
Then carto tanks! Oh my. Look at all that liquid swimming on top! Ewwwwwwwwwwwww.
Funny--I started with cartos. I was afraid of dripping. But a friend of mine sent me a 901 atty with hand written instructions.
I learned how to drip, but I never became a dripper. So now, we've gone full circle and some of you are interested in the old gear? I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

TY. I never thought we would be talking about 510 dripping atties again.
But for tasting juices, they can't be beat. And a good Joyetech atty can last for months, if handled with care.
I bailed on the early clearos - E's and CE's at around version 2 or 3 (see Dangerous thread)
.... and went back to attys. I virtually skipped the carto period - used about 20 of them (all burnt lol) and was never a 808 fan because of the batts. So I totally skipped the carto tank era as well. Vision stardusts and early vivi novas leaked badly and the first T3's (Tabac BCC's) from heaven gifts and later, good prophets, were near perfect. I still have a 'prepper cache' of them and T3S coils right next to my ammo and freeze dried food Yep, but only at red lights.
Still a PITA.
I have memories of rummaging through my purse in search of a fresh carto--at red lights. Or trying to guess how much juice I have left in my carto. Or how much life is left in my 180 mAh battery...

You're right. I did a quick search and hit a genitank mega.... But it makes the point made, stronger - Sub mini is 22mm and Emow mega 19mm

All the Es were junk, IMHO. Really. That top coil was a bad idea. Can't fight gravity... The only nice top coil clearo I ever tried was the T2 that you sent me kindly. I don't know how Kanger did it, but that T2 wicked well and I never had a dry hit from it. And then when the bottom coils were introduced, I never looked back.
T2 was the best top coil, imo. Still have some
But yeah, when the Tabac BCC/T3's hit, that game was over.I never had a bottom feeder mod. I always wanted a Woodvil and they were never in stock when I tried to get one, so I finally gave up. Still curious about them, though. They are so beautiful.
I think there needs to be a permanent thread for vaping nostalgia. It's fun hearing the old stories and seeing the old gear. Super T made the first drip tip?

Yeah, even the regular Subtank pushes the limits of the VS rDNA-40. I don't like 'hangover' much....

Beg to differ? (on me knees, Bikers) They were with wick. Silica if I'm not mistaken. The bridgeless part was just an atty in which the steel bridge on top of the coil was removed. I spent hours watching Shan's vids and debridged many of my atomizers. So much fun. Easier to see, easier to clean. And supposedly gave better flavor.
All I see is a little metal plate with holes. I've been tryin to get one apart but I'm not gonna destroy a good one. I'll take your word for it because of one thing: I've gotten terrible dry hits that indicate there is a wick in there. I don't see how just a coil would do that unless it had a bunch of crud buildup on it, enough to keep it burnin after takin power off it. Somebody had said they were all metal so I ...-u-med. Still, the next one that goes bad I'm rippin it apart! - Status
