Kat. Must say I am loving your new avi. I'd love a pair of those glittery green boots. Would be a fab drip tip too!

Wouldn't it just!

Meanwhile, I'll give you one boot, and I'll keep one. We'll just have to walk together tho, ya know?

I have both the 20W & 30W eleaf, Like most I had drama with the pin on the 20W and I found that the problem in the majority was the 510 adaptor that eleaf supplied. As the the pin on the 20W as we all know colapses downward with continuous use I got about a month and a half out of mine before the pin started to collapse down. I overcame this problem in two ways.

1. I purchased a different ego/510 adaptor
510_ego_adapter_c0c248d3-9d6b-4259-b287-b825d6403a71_medium.jpg
this has a longer thread than the one supplied by Eleaf.

2. The second option was the Eleaf bending adaptor which has a spring loaded pin

This worked far better however it does not work all that well with the 30W Eleaf due to its design change. If you want the Eleaf 20 Watt bending adaptor I found mine here and the Eleaf pouches on a lanyard are also good, The Eleaf is not waterproof and dropping it in a rain puddle does little to promote its longevity.
Eleaf bending adaptor

Hello Acer 50

You posted this about the Eleaf bending adaptor right before I was going to do a post about a potential Problem I am starting to have with my Eleaf bending adaptor I use on Istick 20W

My adapter is not staying properly locked after I lock it whatever I am using on top of my Istick 20

After I LOCK my Eleaf bending adapter CLOSED (NORMAL POSITION); it does not take much side force to accidentally or on purpose be able to bend the Eleaf bending adapter (IN OPEN POSITION)! This is without pushing the release button on the Eleaf bending adaptor!

The locking button seams to work ok, the small tension springs do not look damaged and are exerting force on the locking mechanism.

From looking at the Eleaf bending adapter complete mechanism both in the open and closed modes everything looks ok I think.

But I cant really see where the latching mechanism is properly latching or not in trying to look at it from all angles and sides?

I would think when it latches closed that you should not be able to open the latch without pushing the latch release button as long as the latch springs have any tension, but on mine this seems to not be the case.

Acer 50 when I saw your post about your Eleaf bending adapter and you also you used a different ego/510 adaptor than Eleaf supplys when you buy their Eleaf bending adapter KIT

Acer 50 can you easily open the bending adapter when yours is latched closed with a light force?

So far mine seems to stay closed and it gets contact usually through the pin to the battery

I worry that over time it will no longer latch shut good enough so the pin makes good contact when using it

Also Acer are you using one on an istick 30? I did not know you could do this.

That being said I like the bending adapter

Hello everyone

I have been reading this Thread: Eleaf Istick for several months in the background and read over the 1000 plus pages of this tread and learned a lot, and finally decided to register on ecf

The regulars here are and have been wonderful and always helpful

I would like to sincerely thank the regulars here for all their posts related to the Eleaf Istick

Because of you I bought a 20 watt Eleaf Istick and really like it.

There is a really nice family of regulars here and I would like to interact with you

I was able to easily quit ciggs and switch to ecig vaping about 6 months ago
I make my own juices and use a 50/50 pg\vg mix with currently 15 % nic
I use Nautilus mini and several Klangertech Evods

Been thinking about trying a GS and getting a 30 watt Istick

Definately get a 30w if you want some crazy battery life......:)

And welcome aboard........:toast:

Like all mass produced items some work well some don't.
I have two of these hinges one is a bit loose on the locking mechanism but that is not my main concern, I am more interested in the firing pin connecting after months of use and the thing colapsing downward.

The alternate adaptor I use is slightly longer in the threaded shank and makes a better contact.

As to using the bending hinge on the 30W eleaf yes it can be done using the alternate adaptor.

I've had my 50 for a few weeks now, no issues, love it, have a mini, 3x 20w, and a 30w, Have had my first 20 since the thread started, still works as the day I bought it.

I try to be a little careful with my gear, I guess that has paid off, zero issues with any of my Isticks, some phantom clicks, maybe a little rattle. Solid high value devices with some minor quirks.

Think the 30 is my favorite, 50 is a close second though, mostly for battery life.

Nice collection!

How are the Flash-E's compared to the Kayfun Lite's? Any leaking issues with the Flash?

inspects thanks for And welcome aboard........

You're welcome my friend, there are a LOT of great folks here.....I only been vaping for about 3.5 months, I must have bought 5K worth of gear.

The mailman thinks I lost my mind....especially when the packages from Vapor Bomb arrive....I get that odd look, but you'll have that.

Actually I give 95% of the "stuff" away, to help people stop SMOKING, its my new mission in life. I enjoy helping others who may not be able to help themselves.

I've been thinking this for months, Jeremy. For our purposes, Lithium-Polymer batteries are far superior to traditional Lithium-Ion (and derivatives) batteries. Li-Po batteries pose little to no additional safety concerns based on how we use them. In addition, Li-Po batteries are noticeably less expensive.

Manufacturers and modders have been designing both regulated and unregulated devices around battery form-factor. The vaping industry is far in excess of one billion dollars now. It's time battery manufacturers begin making batteries in form-factors more suitable to how we want to utilize them. Can you imagine telling cellular phone and tablet manufacturers that they must design their devices around the 18650 battery? Few consumers would purchase said devices.

All this being said, wouldn't it be nice to be able to easily obtain what is already being manufactured? The 2200-2600mAh cylindrical, "18650" Li-Pos that are being utilized in devices like the iSticks would be brilliant in devices like the original (and now DNA40) Vapor Sharks, Hana Minis, etc. They wholesale for $2 or less each. As the iStick 50W and Smart 30 have demonstrated, building a compact, ergonomic device around two if these is a reality.

I've also been intrigued by the VapeDroid which is a DNA 40 iStick-type APV that flares on one side to accommodate a 26650.

Although I haven't held one yet (they're stupid expensive), it appears like it would fit comfortably in my largish hands. It is more compact than the dual-battery Smart 30. A 26650-sized Li-Po could easily spec at 3500-4000mAh. We could even have Li-Po-powered devices with user-replaceable (but probably not swappable) batteries, utilizing Deans or similar connectors. The battery wears out after a year-and-a-half and we can replace it.

What we do and use does not require rocket science. It seems that our industry has been driven by anyone but vapers and capable designers/engineer. Fortunately, our voices seem to be getting through to manufacturers, albeit slowly.

Now, it's imperative that our political representatives and public policy makers hear our voices as well. If you haven't looked at the CASA CTAs posted in the banner at the top of every ECF page, please do so. Governments of all shapes and sizes are trying to severely impact what has finally allowed many of us to permanently ditch tobacco products. It's absurd and, frankly, a bit frightening. I don't know about you, but I've had just about enough of our governments' idiocy in creating public policy. I'm mad as hell and won't take it any more! Please call/write your representatives and let them know what you think, that you're watching and vote.

Look at the variant....... Uses a li-po pack, puts out 260 watts......its amazing what can be done with a single li-po pack :p

CCWATERS...admit it...we're compulsive vaping Hoarders------:)

I'm with you ol buddy...I having a room addition put on my office to store gear.......:D

Just received another batch yesterday (dozen) Sub Tank Nano's...found um on sale...what can I say?.......:p

I think I'm a bit beyond hoarding, but in my defense, I've always been a collector, that will probably never change, probably getting near 200 different atomizers, maybe 50 mech mods, 20+ regulated devices. You have me beat though on single atomizers, sounds like you could be the reason I'm still looking for deals on the smaller subtanks :toast: The way I look at it, is I could spend my money on things a lot worse then Vape gear.:D

How are the Flash-E's compared to the Kayfun Lite's? Any leaking issues with the Flash?

I have a FEV 3, and a FEV VS, was considering them way back when the original was around, but cosmetics, and various reviews kept me from purchasing. I really like small atomizers, when I saw the VS I had to try one. Then after using it for a few days I ordered a Flash-Evapor 3.

The VS is easily my favorite smallish atomizer, super flavor, has never leaked, super easy to build, and maintain, easy quick filling, which is good because the VS only holds about 2ml of juice. Both of mine are clones by Hotcig, quality is really nice. It is sort of an ugly duckling, but performance easily makes up for lack of elegant lines. I'm so impressed by these I've ordered an authentic VS, and will be ordering an authentic FEV3 soon.

Comparing it to a KFL, which I still use, better/more airflow if you want it, never a leak wicks much better (have ran the VS @35 watts .7 build, keeps up), never any flooding issues, which I do get with my Kayfuns if I get lazy better flavor, easier build/wicking. Flash is really an underrated atomizer IMO. $20ish to try the Hotcig clones is definitely worth it.

CC....I don't have any KFL's....but I will try a few....guess we're two peas in a pod....its fun though...I'm basically (kinda) semi-retired...I like diddling around with this "stuff".

Biggest enjoyment is people telling me they STOPPED smoking after I set them up with a fairly good battery and tank.

Its really amazing how many people never heard of vaping...including myself six months ago. Doing my best to PASS the info along to as many people as I possibly can.

After smoking since I was 13, if I can quit anyone can with the proper gear and appropriate juice.

Speaking of...I found some older 24-mg juice, I put some in a clearo on a Spinner....wow... almost knocked my socks off....its incredibly strong juice as we all know.....:p

I can't believe I vaped that for quite a while before gradually dropping down between 3-12-mg, depending on juice or craving for nicotine.
