I'll definitely give it a look. I'll try and head down to Manhattan to pick some up since I want what's best for my mod.

I can't believe that the guy I got it from did this. So crappy!

Just be warned that some of the "vape shops" in the Village, while quite large, also sell other paraphernalia.

Okay folks, I need a bit of advice. I've been browsing this thread since it's inception, and also searched for specifics but I'm coming up short of making a decision to buy an istick.

I vape DIY 70% to 80% VG in a boge 2.0 ohm carto on either a joye twist at 4.2 v or MVP at 6.5 to 7 watts.

My questions are:
1. Is the istick still as wonderful as everyone thought? The first posts were all saying how wonderful they are and more recently I was reading posts about needing adapters and bending things and taking them apart and... I don't want to get one if I have to modify it to get it to work correctly.

2. Will my current setup of boge LR's and high VG juice be a problem?

3. Regular or mini?

4. Any opinions on the most reliable place to order one?

Thanks in advance.

It's a good device but won't fire lower than 8.7 watts @ 2ohms. If you want something that's accurate and fires low well get the mvp 20w

1. It depends on what's important to you. I like it because it has great battery life and is super compact. It has its flaws, as any device does. The threads can apparently give you problems. But use the adapter that comes with it, and you should be fine. It runs hotter than other devices, but you can dial it back. I find my 2.0 ohms cartos do best around 5.5 watts or so.

2. LR cartos should be fine, but you'll have to set the device lower than you're used to. Assuming they're single coil. Dual coil you can probably turn it up a little more. Just start out low and turn it up until it tastes right. If it tastes burned, dial it back a bit.

VG won't have am impact - that has more to do with what you have the juice in than the battery.

3. Again, depends on what is important to you. It's smaller, but you sacrifice battery life. Mini is also just VV, not VW.

4. VapeNW seems to be mentioned here a lot.

?? I have a 1.8 ohm on there now and can go down to 5 watts. I know it runs hotter because it's set to mean, but certainly not 8.7 watts.

OK Googled and found the chart. I disagree that pbusardo's results back that up. When he's running the numbers, the chart he shows has a 2.1 ohm set at 3.0 volts actually hitting 4.0 volts. 4 volts on a 2.1 ohm coil = 7. 62 watts. Much lower than 8.7 watts.

Check out the chart he shows at 24:00

If you're used to firing your Boges at 4.2V, either the iStick or Mini would work just fine. Just know, with the 20W iStick, you'll be spending most of your time at the bottom of the scale; ie. 3 - 3.7V depending on battery charge. You'll find a great vape in that range. A decision between the 20W iStick or Mini is simply based on size and battery life; stereotypical trade-off in vaping. Using the included 510 - eGo adapter on either would raise your cartos a bit, which is what I do when I use my 510 bridgeless attys and prevent any possible thread issues which most of us are NOT experiencing.

Those Boge cartos are classics for a reason. They rock!

Good luck!

To add. The mini doesn't display ohms or watts if that matters to you, and apparently it will allow you to try to fire an atty below 1.0 ohm.... though you shouldn't.
